'I PREFER NOT TO SPEAK LIKE I’M JOSE' - STORMZY

I am here just like you are. Let that be the fundamental law of what we will build. It is refreshing to be graced with an uncontaminated mind. We can delve into how we came to be but that will unravel itself as time passes. I have no idea how our story ends and the chapter where I meet my end will lead you to pick up the pen. What moves me will now inhabit you. I spend my time doing different things and each moment we are gifted together; my presence will be the display of a select few. Simply because I and the breadth of my knowledge is too vast to be conceived in one breath. So, I will offer you wisdom when I can. Wisdom that comes from digging deep. I ethically mine slutty caves for precious jewels, analytically implement them, and avoid the mind fields. When it is your turn to dig deep this will be your guide and sometimes serve as a reminder to keep moving.

To doubt and those who aim to instill it, remind them to be grateful you are inherently flawed in some way. To fear and those trying to sow its seeds, remind them to thank you for their freedom. To guilt or shame, and those who intend for you to be their vessel, let them know how proud you are of their consistency. Lastly, to hate and its teachers, show them how humbled you are by their confidence, and for trusting you to teach them how to lead with love. Everyone you speak to is the jury, you are the plaintiff, and your conscious is the judge. The defendant is freedom of speech. Protect it at all costs. Yes, even if that means violence because progress itself chose the path of violence. Before you embark on this journey, know that what you appreciate about the hill of marbles sits at the bottom.

As you get closer to the gates of darkness, know the only way is through and that sight is not required to see the hidden treasure. The opportunity presents lessons, and you have knowledge of the risk when it comes to taking a chance. However, with consistent support from those that are genuine, you will be reborn. It must be from the genuine because intent matters. Why? Because if in solitude you find confidence but in their presence that confidence is at war, you’ll learn the value of prejudice and its place in society.

In addition, you will protect the peace that comes with accepting only from good company. In the end, you will need them because they know. When silence becomes the only way to express the pain you’re enduring, they know. When you don’t beg life itself for mercy when your will and soul go to war, they know. When your heart seems to be still from what feels like trying to breathe underwater, they know. They know why you don’t know how to feel; and often in those moments, they will offer you a piece of something intangible.

Furthermore, on the topic of peace, to truly enjoy and appreciate it you must first find it within. It lies within you, but you may have forgotten where. Look through and at all the image of nations, picture the stars, infinite galaxies, and when your eyes are open you will have a choice to make. A choice on how to structure your compass. Sight or Vision, Present or Future, Comfort or Growth, and lastly Life or Material. Out of the eight, you must decide which four will be the cardinal points, and which four are left to be the intercardinal.

It will be difficult to discern and only you can make that decision. I advise you to make decisions in a manner that allows your limits to directly align with the limits of the current construct of time. In doing so, the experience you gain from failure ensures that you, progress, and your definition of success have perfect timing. However, know what it means and how to differentiate between waiting and being patient. Wait just enough to be taught by patience, but don’t expect too much from her because you’ll regret knowing why patience doesn't mind waiting.
