Dine Out Dates This happened back in the days when dating someone occurred face to face, you found special places to be together, ventured far from the maddening crowds. Sat quietly and partook of wine, occasional glass of Merlot, and food, exchanged small talk across a table. Before on-line-ville, drug addled dance parties, dating sites and being told to …get a room. Not so long ago I decide to ask the man I’d been part of this scene with, several decade ago, what he remembered.

The Best Places To Eat Amd The Worst
China Buffett-My dsughter and I just went here tonight and the serive was horrible. The whole time We never recieves one refill on our drinks. The bus woman reached over our drinks and plates touching our straws and food and never even tried to bring us another one. The lady was very rude and left us waiting when we tried to pay, because she was too busy talking.

When The Moon Hits Your Eye.
I've never really been in love with food like I'm about to tell you. But, one day I was walking up and down the hall of fame in the late 80's, young and impressionable, I thought the world is my oyster, I was up for anything, suddenly my stomach began to growl, letting me know that it was time to eat. I looked up and down Hollywood Boulevard and while there were many eateries, nothing caught my eye, until I began to cross Las Palmas avenue I looked to the right of me, nothing. ThenI looked to the left of me going south and there it was, Miceli's an Italian restaurant that has apparently been in business for a long time, so I decided to give it a try.

Get Your Daily Dose
Here in my town of Kenosha, it can be said that there's plenty of small local restaurants to eat at. It's honestly one of my favorite things about living here. However, as is true in most things, there are always a few that shine above the rest. For me, it's a small cafe called Daily Dose. Now when I say small, I mean small. There are four booths, a small counter, and the cash register. It's tiny, but it has a big attitude.

Visions an American Restaurant with a Bit of Soul
Food is more than sustenance for me. Some people eat to live, I live to eat, love to eat, eat to eat. The foodie in me loves tasting new things. During this pandemic, eating has become even more of my favorite pastime than pre Coronavirus. Although as an immunosuppressed person, I cannot safely venture out to my typical eateries, I still find ways to get my grub on by ordering To-Go at my local favorite restaurants.

By Udana Power The Apple Pan is the 71-year-old home of the BEST Burger in Los Angeles. I had my first burger there some time before 1962. I remember that because I was still in high school. My date drove a cool turquoise and white ’57 Chevy. It was “lowered” (close to the ground) and rumbled the school windows when it cruised down Texas Avenue in front of Uni High. One day after school he took me out for a burger.

Bodega on Central
Where to start with a place so close to my heart. Bodega was one of the first restaurants I got to try when I moved to St. Petersburg, FL. I originally was hoping to land in Miami. I was so excited about the abundance of Latin food. But, the universe had other plans. I knew in Miami my love for Latin food would be fulfilled. I never realized I would be just as satisfied in St. Pete! After that first time at Bodega, I was hooked! Everything is always fresh and made to order. Most people go for the amazing Cuban sandwiches with Cuban bread to die for. The crispy outside, yet, soft inside that makes you believe in heaven on earth. You can even get oil on the outside if that's your kind of thing. Offering sweets like they're pastelitos and tons of other options with plenty of flavor.
