Reason First: Why Did Fetty Fight?
It’s pretty bad when you get socked by a guy with one eye. Rapper Fetty Wap, the half-blind rap star found the cold steel of justice wrapped around his wrists in Las Vegas, Nevada for punching a valet at the Mirage Hotel and Casino. A staff member actually made the decision to subdue the assailant who happened to be the platinum rapper. Subsequently, the hip hop star received the charges of misdemeanor assault and battery. So, what does all of this mean? Are semi-disabled rappers really out here trying to knock out able bodied young people?
Skyler SaundersPublished 5 years ago in CriminalReason First: Meek Is Free Because of Thinking
Every Twelve O’Clock Boy should be rejoicing from B-More to Philly. Meek Mill is no longer a suspected convict. A 2008 charge related to a firearm has been dismissed by a panel of three judges. On the heels of signing a brand new deal with his label Dream Chasers under billionaire JAY-Z’s Roc Nation, Meek celebrated on Instagram stating how he is clean as far as the law is concerned. This is a clarion call to any man of color in America who is currently going through the legal system while still trying to enjoy the spoils and fruits of their labors.

It’s one thing to spew hatred on the media landscape to match the directions of radio stations, television channels, and websites. But with respected figures like Benzino, he should have had greater situational awareness. Instead of going on a racist tirade, he should have paid attention to the blatant bigotry and racism that he spouted towards a law enforcement officer. As a man of mixed races, he may have been compelled to spit such hatred. It’s either that or he just could not control his emotions.

The bullets, gun battles, and animosity associated with the hip hop genre hinder it from being a culture. For rapper Slim 400, who survived over nine shots to his body, the whole gang mentality should be put to rest. As his associate YG has said that he will “stay dangerous” this only perpetuates the back and forth between gang members. With the shooting death of Nipsey Hussle, YG explained that the slain rapper was a “brother from another color,” referencing the fact he is a Blood and Hussle was a Crip. But with Slim 400 expected to make a full recovery, the winds of vengeance may begin to blow. Hopefully, guns remain cold. When asked by a TMZ reporter if he has “any message for the people that did it” YG just waved off the question with a “C’mon man.”
Skyler SaundersPublished 5 years ago in CriminalReason First: Should A$AP Rocky and Crew Be Let Off Because of Poor Camerawork?
There ought to be lessons in elementary school on up to PhD-level on how to best hold the camera when shooting footage on a cellphone. The latest video to go all shaky and distorted purportedly presents A$AP Rocky and crew assaulting a man in the streets of Stockholm, Sweden. The brief melee is difficult to decipher, as the amateur videographer shimmies with the videophone. Poor quality doesn’t help the matter much. When law enforcement arrived, they wanted to see the evidence in living color. What they didn’t want was jerky picture that looks like a war film where there’s no Steadicam.

The Axeman is one of the most popular and interesting serial killers of all time. What makes this story more interesting was that he was never caught. This unsolved mystery is one of my favourite stories. The reason why the killer was called The Axeman of New Orleans was that he would murder people with their own axes in New Orleans. The Axeman would usually grab their axes from their sheds and brutally murder his victim(s).
Reason First: Should Someone Who Knows Something Behind DJ Official's Murder Talk?
It’s time to snitch. In the wake of DJ Official’s shooting death, it is the appropriate hour for people to start naming names, and telling on these savages. Such brutes ought to be discovered and brought to justice for their crimes. DJ Official had just gotten done working with Nipsey Hussle before his tragic demise in March by homicide not too far from where Official received shots. His name was André Wakefield. He did not achieve levels of success as a producer for the likes of Cardi B and YG just to be gunned down like a dog in the street.
Skyler SaundersPublished 5 years ago in CriminalReason First: Can Social Media Save OJ Simpson's Image?
OJ Simpson is looking like he never had a double homicide charge against him or served nearly a decade for robbery. All of this, of course, is allegedly orchestrated propaganda to boost the former NFL star and actor’s profile. He donned casual clothes by a poolside, showing off his ring, watch, and sunglasses in one Instagram video. In it, he addressed all of the dads out there on Father’s Day. In a Twitter post, Simpson provided much more substance. He outlined the rumor that he is Khloe Kardashian’s father and that Kris Jenner and he engaged in trysts.
Skyler SaundersPublished 5 years ago in CriminalReason First: Rapper Key Glock Avoided the Penal System... Now What?
The trappings of the rap game include mostly carnal urges, firearms, and the persistent chase of banknotes. Such topics have fueled the genre for decades. Rapper Key Glock is no different in his expression of such subject matter. And his once legal woes turned into a win as his charges for gun and marijuana possession were eliminated. With the simple message “charge dropped” on his Twitter, Key Glock announced to the world that he has been cleared legally. A month after being arrested on these charges, Key Glock seems poised to advance in his rap career, which should see a boost in interest due to his brush with the law. In just a little over a month, Glock secured his placement in the pantheon of rappers whose charges were dropped like the Dow Jones Industrial Average in a bear market. Glock brings to the game more of the same in many respects, but his ability to combat the obvious role of law enforcement seeking to lock up as many rappers as possible appears to be at the forefront of his message. It’s raw, unmistakable and dedicated to street themes. So, Glock’s subject matter coincides with his lifestyle. What else is new?

Lena BaileyPublished 5 years ago in CriminalSexual Harassers in Stardom
Introduction Victims can be sexually harassed not just physically, but also verbally, emotionally, and mentally. Putting aside my own subjective opinion that sexual assault is never excusable. The majority of the public does agree, and so does the law. The objective fact of the matter is that sexual harassment, and/or assault is criminal. So here's a list of those who are powerful, popular, and prosperous. The ones' who have been accused, alleged, and ousted as sexual predators between 2018 to date.
Reason First: Is Shotti Way out of Line or on the Right Path When It Comes to His Opinion of Tekashi69?
Though the YouTube video of the conversation between Shotti and DJ Pvnch is no longer available, the fallout from the talks has rung through the corners of the Internet like a church bell. Former manager for Tekashi69, Shotti, has called the young MC an “ungrateful rat bastard.” He then goes onto say that he’s fine without his protégé. In the vein of Jay-Z’s classic “Dead Presidents II,” Shotti says in a sense that hustling just ain’t Tekashi69 and that he forgives him.
