I Breathe Music
When I hear the sound of metallic flutes, rhythmic xylophones, melodic guitars, peaceful pianos, and deafening drums, I feel as alive as the sun shining in the cloudless sky. Music and sound is my life and makes me breathe, see, fly, dance, walk, run, hop, and sleep. Music is a part of my identity that can't be confiscated. It's my form of medicine, art, therapy, and education. I breathe, value, honour, and I'm married to music. It's my teacher, spouse, friend, doctor, nurse, therapist, mentor, and caregiver. Without music, I would be dead as a crumpled leaf, and incomplete as a human being.

Fairy Dust
I peek into the tiny glass bottle of variegated, sparkly and glittered sand that sits quietly on my night table. I take off the bottle top and I see a button-nosed, rosy-cheeked and dwarf-like creature rising from the bottle. Like confetti falling to the ground, rainbow fairy dust explodes from the bottle and spills all around me. I'm caked in colour and glitter! The grape-haired fairy flies around my bed and tumbles on me. I'm surprised and psyched!

I'll Stay With You Forever, Pink
Since I entered this planet, pink has been my bestest of friends. We've slept, walked, bloomed and stuck together like a piece of gum. She's painted my world with such bright colours, because she thinks that living a black and white life is too plain. She's given me light during my darkest moments and continues to be a teacher, mentor, friend, sister and nurse. She's continued to illustrate my world with funky shapes, different shades of pink and loads of love and joy. She'll stay with me until the day I go to paradise. Thank you for keeping me sane and alive, pink!
