Tucha, the crosswalk lady
I don’t have any photos of Tucha, there was a time when photographs weren’t so common, and I was about eight years old when we have met. It was a normal weekend day, we were visiting my great-aunt to spend the day at her Portuguese farmhouse.

Whale bone beach Massacre
I wasn’t even born when all of this happened. But since it was something so strange and almost insane, I wanted to share it with you all. It happened on the 1st March 1987, when a man killed just because he wanted. This man was Vítor Jorge (1949-2018) and he killed seven people in twenty-four hours.

Injustice with traces of indignation
After the crisis, in 2008, I had to leave university and try to get a job. Since I didn’t have a driver’s license and no experience, I didn’t get any decent job. Stardust
This story was inspired from the imagem above, by Heba Amen Can you even imagine what it is like to fall from the sky and see the stars right in front of you? It was like an adventure, feeling your eyes fixed on mine. I was hoping that you had the same feeling, but your wild nature gives me chills. Your smile said goodbye to me, and you've become part of my dreamland.

The art of embroidering the world's beauty
In Portugal, the summer school holidays are three months long. Our parents keep working, and they have to get us something to do. My mom, since we had financial difficulties, sometimes asked a cousin of hers to let me be there, and she could teach me sewing. I started to learn simple things like stitching the buttons and making their “house” into the fabric. At that time, I wasn’t so eager to learn that – I wish I had since today I could use those techniques to seam my clothes.
