Signs of False Intelligence
We often come across people who have an air of being omniscient. They seem to understand everything and sense they know everything. To an outsider they seem very intelligent. However if one gets into a conversation with them, it turns out to be false. They are the ones to try to dazzle people with big words and over the top ideas. They also try to exaggerate their superior intelligence. These people are otherwise known as pseudointellectuals. Now there is a difference between people who are pedantic in nature due to a pathological issue such as PTSD or Schizophrenia. Often it is the case they use the false knowledge for personal gain and even for manipulation.

Signs of Fake Friends
More often than not when we don’t have a good supportive family, we rely on friends for support. However sometimes we befriend people who are far from loyal and are not genuine. Fake friends live for themselves and use you for their personal gain. Sadly often it takes time to realize this and when it is realized letting go of the friend is hard. However always remember, you are not losing a friend but rather letting go of a hater. Here are five types of fake friends you might encounter. Some seem mutually inclusive but there are subtle differences.

Legend Lives On
"The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window." This was three weeks ago. I still don’t feel I have had enough time to process the events that happened that night but I realize I have to move on. I won’t forget that night but I don’t mull over it either. That’s because I was a victim.

Narcissist Parents
Especially when one comes from a seemingly good home-dad is working, mom staying home to look after the kids, this phenomena is often overlooked. From the outside people think the parents are wonderful and supportive and it appears so on the outside. What they don’t know is what goes on behind closed doors. Some parents are complete narcissists and use so many forms to control their children. Narcissistic personality disorder is when a person demands admiration at any cost. They do not care whom they hurt and how they get it. They have a high sense of self and do not know they are doing anything wrong. Here are signs your parents were narcissists.

Lack Of A Father
About three years ago my dad was diagnosed with an incurable lung condition. Two months later, in a sneaky way, I packed my bags and left home. I am not welcome at home anymore and have not seen my dad since. Neither parent of mine accepted the fact that I have mental illness. They both treated like I was just badly behaved. I think about my dad every day and imagine the man I would be if he had not seen me like a failed lab experiment.

Introduction To PTSD
Post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD is a condition that results from a terrifying event, either witnessed or experienced firsthand. As it was thought only to affect people in the militaryit has in the past been called Combat Disorder. Symptoms can include anxiety, depression, nightmares, flashbacks and irrational or uncontrollable thoughts of the event. It is important to note that some people who go through a terrifying event may only have a temporary time with difficulties with coping. Through a support network and good self-care they may shake off the event. However if the symptoms worsen or do not get better and last months to even years, it is likely to develop into PTSD. PTSD in most cases affects a person’s day-to-day functioning. Here is a look at common behaviours associated with it.
