Taking Our Community Back From Drugs
Our community is full of kind, caring people who truly want to see it taken back from the drug epidemic that we're seeing every single day. We fully understand that sometimes good people make bad choices. We're in no way, form or fashion putting anyone down or making judgments. It's a terrible situation and we have the most sympathy for anyone struggling with addiction.

Words That You'll Only Hear In The South.
We could all probably use a little more Southern Charm in our lives, you know that feeling of kindness and warmth you get when you're sitting in your grandmas cozy little kitchen. With all that chicken, dumplings, and cornbread, we can only expect a healthy helping of sayings you won't hear often north of the Mason-Dixon Line. While some of these phrases have made their way into many North American dialects, these Southern-inspired idioms certainly stand out in every conversation... and they don't always mean what you might think!

My $50 Spring Wardrobe
Before you attempt to tell me that thrift stores are trashy and they only sell other people's junk, I'm going to jump right to my point and say "you're wrong." Like my mama always said "One person's trash is another person's treasure." But let me tell ya'll something, I just purchased my entire Spring wardrobe for $50 at a thrift and I'm looking posh and beauteous in my new Spring regalia.

My Personal Experience With the Pfizer Vaccine
Maybe my own experience will help you decide if the vaccine is right for you. Everyone is different and we all rightfully have our own thoughts and opinions. I am in no way trying to persuade you to get it or not to get it. The ultimate decision is yours and at the end of the day only you know what's right for you.

There's no shortage of wieners! "Oh yes there is!"
Hogs are in short supply ahead of this summer's pent-up demand for products like hot dogs. Especially in the South and particularly states like Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio. This goes all the way back to the start of COVID when the pandemic forced the closure of meat processing plants (some of which are still struggling to re-open).There aren't enough processing plants operating at full capacity. Instead of processing say 100 percent of the animals they were doing prior to COVID, they're probably at a 75 percent rate right now.

Waverly Hills Sanatorium
During the Halloween season it seems that all we hear about is the haunted Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, Ky. But is it really haunted? Recently I was able to get myself a reservation and visit this huge hospital for myself. The two-hour paranormal tour is a guided tour that visits the most well-known areas of Waverly Hills, including the morgue, room 502, and even the body chute. There is ID and minimum age requirements to enter no one under 13 years old is permitted inside plus they do have a few strict rules that you must follow.

While these places are great we wanted to introduce you to some hidden treasures in our state. Here are a few of our favorite less traveled but well worth visiting locations in the state of Tennessee.

BunBun
I am undeniably one of the biggest animal lovers of all time. It doesn't matter if it's warm and fuzzy or cold and scaly, there is a place in my heart for everything. When I was growing up my father would call me Elly May Clampett. He said that there was no animal in the world that I wouldn't take in and love.

Dalton & Bella
Dalton: His family came from the South end of town. Nobody gave much thought to those people. They were the rift-raft, the lower class. He worked hard everyday digging water lines and ditches. A blue collar job that didn't pay half of what it was worth. His mother cleaned houses for the wealthier people in town. She had been accused of stealing some valuable jewelry from an employer. Although she was innocent, her reputation in town was that of a common thief who deserved to be locked in a cold, dark cell. His father done odd jobs such as cutting grass and doing yard work for people. Sometimes, if he was lucky he'd get offered a few dollars to do minor repairs on a vehicle. Times was hard and only getting harder. There was little money which meant little food and late rent payments. His mother depended on medication that they just could not afford. Something had to be done. There had to be some way that he could help support his family more and give them a better life. He had to find a way.

My Thrift Store Treasure Box
I am proud to flaunt my thrift store addiction. I wave my thrift store flag high over my head. I have known many people who simply refused to walk into a thrift store. Maybe their pride was too heavy and the fear that somebody they knew would see them there got the best of them.

Strange & Creepy Trail Cam Pics
A while ago we invited anyone in the local area to show us their strangest and creepiest trail / deer cam photos. We were not disappointed in the results. It's surprising to see just what or who is lurking around in the darkness.
