The Impact Of A Compliment
This is a personal story of a compliment that has changed my life and that I think about quite a bit. Let me set the stage. I live in the rural part of Colorado and recently graduated from high school. I have been working at a small diner for 3 years, but they cut my hours so, I needed supplemental income. So, I kept looking for a job, but with little experience, I kept getting rejected. Finally, I got a job at a hotel working with food. This job pays well and is really fun. I have been working there for around 3 months.

Looking For New Songs?
New songs that you love are hard to find sometimes. This is a fun game to find new artists and new songs of all genres. My friends and I use to play this all the time. We referred to it as "The Word Game". We usually used Spotify as we have premium, but could probably be played on any music platform. So, here's the game. Pick a word or phrase and type it into the search bar. After that choose songs and pick the first one that you don't know. Sometimes we would use a random word generator. Example time. Let's use the word "Crowd".

The Box In The Box
On February 1957, Joseph Augustus Zarelli (The Boy In The Box) was found on the side of the road wrapped in a plaid blanket in a cardboard box badly beaten and severely malnourished. On November 30, 2022, the police department stated that they had identified The Boy In The Box but didn't publically release his name until December 8th, 2022. They identified him through the DNA database. With this new discovery maybe we can finally get more closure to this case.

The Saving Grace
“Captain?” I look around the wheelhouse. “Yes?” My voice is groggy. I must have fallen asleep earlier. I sit up looking at my first mate. He is a handsome man. Chiseled jawline, ocean blue eyes, and short black hair that always hung to the right of his face. I looked him up and down and he was really well put together. He was in his uniform. White shirt with arrows on his sleeves in tight-fitting black trousers.

What I Wished I Knew Before Owning A Cat
I have owned many different pets. Dogs, fish, cows, pigs, horses, and now cats. Out of all of them, cats are the most unpredictable. They have "zoomies", points where they want attention and points where they don't, and many more crazy behaviors.

The Murders of Jesse Pomeroy
Jesse Pomeroy was only 14 when he committed murder. He murdered two kids, Katie Curran and Horace Millen. Katie Curran was only ten, and Horace Millen was four years old. This tragic case uncovered a darker truth about Jesse Pomeroy and the crimes he had been committing. Taking place in 1874, the information is a little hard to find. That said, some information might have been skewed or not documented.
