ATTN anyone in the medical field
Looking for answers
Hello, I am looking to reach anyone in psychology or the medical field. I am willing to talk to students as well. My son is 12 years old and had his first psychotic break before he was six. He calls them voices. He is officially diagnosed Schizophrenic and Autistic. Other diagnosis that have been brought up are morality OCD, DID (MPD), and others.
The biggest issue that we find is that due to his autism he doesnt describe things like any other patient would. He has had what some doctors call command hallucinations since a month before he was six years old on record but doctors say it probably started before this occured. A month before the world went into lockdown for covid, a month before he turned six years old he held a weapon in the middle of the night in the kitchen and all he said was that he had to make the voices go away.
To this day he is calm and convinced that is the only way to make them go away. He is medicated. He has been on adult medications since age seven when they ruled out the childrens medications having any affect on him. After about a month, any medication will stop helping. Sometimes he tells us that nothing helps at all. He calls them voices. When they come out its for hours a day that he is violent. He has had over 15 inpatient hospital stays.
I am reaching out into the universe because I believe that if we can translate how his autistic mind describes things we may find something happening that can be treated in a new way. Some of the voices are not violent. We know this because its like it is not him at all. Some of the "voices" have different accents, all have different mannerisms. When hes in an episode he has little to no memory of what happened. He says the voices stay in cages until he is in a cage when a voice wants to come out.
Please ask questions. Send this to anyone you know in the medical field that may have an answer. Right now we are looking for professional opinions only. He also has a severe mutation in both t-cells of the MTHFR so the doctors think that may have something to do with the medication issues. He truly does not believe that they will ever go away. He doesn't believe that any doctor or therapist can help.
I believe that there is someone out there that may be able to figure out exactly what is happening here. I believe that there is someone out there who may be able to help him before he hurts himself or someone else in a way that he cannot take back. It more than only looking at data its being able to figure out the difference between whats fully occuring and how his brain figures things out. He communicates differently.
We have been through three states trying to find answers. I am hoping that by reaching out to the world, someone may take an interest. Someone that may actually have answers. The only thing doctors agree on at this time is that he has high level autism and severe psychosis and that his control over it will get worse over time. Im happy to answer questions and anyone that can prove they are a student or medical professional I can share any records that may help you. I am throwing a bone to the universe because I want my son to get help, to get the answers that he no longer believes are out there.
I have to believe for him.
