These habits are also main pillars when it comes to self improvement. In my early teenage years I lost a lot of weight and gained a lot of confidence, but It wasn't really on purpose but the more I think about it the more it makes senes.

Tony Robbins also always says "Progress = Happiness" and movement is also one habit that will benefit your mental and physical health. And when you see also results in your progress you will stick to it.

People are always talking about a Body/Mind connection and I think, research more and more shows that having a fit body is also linked to a good mental health. (I will not link any studies, do your research on your own :D)

So as you read this I don't know how much you know about fitness and weight training. But I think, everything that moves your body gets the ball rolling. For people that are currently starting out, overcomplicating does not really help. You need a foundation to make progress and if you make progress you will more likely keep going.

I would suggest to pick a sport or even walking and start small, but increase the duration every now and then you feel comfortable with the current level. In the beginning it is only to build up a consistent habit.

I prefer to make a mixture between weight training & more cardio related training forms.

The main goal should be to keep your body moving for at least 30min a day. I don't care if you are doing 7 walks a week or going 7 times to the gym per week.(I would suggest gym :D) No but seriously, its all about gaining momentum.

Now probably a few people will say, that's bad advice because you will overtrain your body, but if we are all honest, most people have the problem that they didn't move at all and they fore sure aren´t overtrain their body.

So start to reshape yourself and move your Body. You will see how fast you can see progress and also how you fast you will also train your brain to like exercise because you will feel good afterwarts.

This is the concept of delayed gratification. Basically habits or activities that feel painful or uncomfarble during the process but feel good afterwards or in the long run. Where for example instant gratification activities like:

  1. Social Media
  2. Porn
  3. Eating highly stimulating food
  4. Drugs

feel good in the process but not in the longrun.

So our goal is to do as much delay gratification activites as possible and this of course Movement & Training your Body.

Movement will decrease Stress and will also help you get in Shape. Which basically makes you feel good when you are proud of your body. So this starts a spiral which can benefit your physical & mental Health.

Please give yourself also time to establish the habit, because it will not be the case the you run a mile and your anxiety is cured. It is more a tool & lifestyle that starts a positive selfinducing cycle.

Heres a Protocol that you can follow through to get started:

If you do these a few weeks you can step up and experiment a little bit and do more weight training or cardio, whatever fits more to you.

One more important point, to make more progress.

Make sure you track your habits:
