Together

An Abecedarian Inverse Poem

Alone no more

Boldly walking together

Carrying each others burdens

Doting on one another

Each hold the other up

Fostering each others hopes

Guiding when the other is lost

Holding hands as we move forward

Inching ever nearer

Just you and me

Keeping our promise to each other

Love helping us go on

More than you ever know

Now and forever

Our love has no ends

Pray we stay together always

Que the kisses

Routing out the fear

Seeking only our true love

That lights our way

Under the influence of a love

Very happy together

Waltz with me

Xanthic nimbus surrounding us

You and me walking side by side

Zealously looking to our future

Love the attempt to mix two challenges in one, and the strength of the love between these two people comes through clearly when reading. “Guiding when the other is lost Holding hands as we move forward” is lovely imagery, especially when combined with the picture😊

What a wonderful poem! This is definitely not an easy task to pull off, but you’ve done very well at it. Great job.

Have we been writing Inverse and not knowing it, I wonder. You doubled up nicely on this one MC. Alone no more together forever. Great premise.

You too? What was it that possessed us to try both at once?

How romantic! Nice one. ☺️👏 I need to have a go. Not living up to my 2024 goals so far lol! 😁

  • Beautiful poem read either way, though both read in very similar fashion. In a reverse poem, the more differently they read, the better.

Wow MC, way to flex that poetry muscle!! I love the way you encapsulated two kind of poems in one and how seamlessly the piece flows!! Very well thought out and executed! Great emotional piece!
