The Fish That Came From a Doodle
The Fish That Came From a Doodle This picture started as a doodle, While I was eating my Pot Noodle. And all at once, it grew and grew, And a fish popped out and said, How do?

Here With Our Heat
I’ll leap from coal to coal, touch to touch frame to frame and back again Where the wind blows slow and we lay low against the heat of yesterday

Drawing the Sun
I saw the rays of the sun tonight Like they'd been drawn by a child with crayon. The sun was showing its belly From behind a cloud:

Dreams Of Grief
Introduction This is my twenty-ninth piece inspired by Justine G. Cappelli's beautiful and inspirational artwork. I love that Justine always gives the full story behind the painting, which gives me more than just the painting to work from. Though I have taken the concept that Danu is grieving, I then interpreted my thoughts on this painting, which is the second panel of the commission, The Awakening of Danu.

The city speaks to me Where have you been? Where are you headed? Come, sit here with me Without a trace of regret This is the stop I have always longed for Now that all the storms have finally subsided I have at last found A moment’s respite What more could I possibly want? I know this is not yet my final destination I know where I wish to arrive I have the journey mapped out in my mind Perhaps not down to every last detail But while I do not turn my heart toward the heartless I turn it toward places To soak in their atmosphere By the water or within the city itself Out in nature, or somewhere in between In various states of mind Where life unfolds in its purest form Untainted by artificial additives That is where I belong Where the river flows straight and smooth Revealing its little secrets, step by step Where the timid coot seeks shelter And the predatory grey heron lies in wait for its prey Human nature finds its reflection here And I am a quiet, passive observer of things That not everyone is able to perceive Especially when they are so deeply consumed by themselves

Missin'
Why must all passions vanish the moment an object or person significant to us departs? Why must we all seek a new source to reignite our fervour and ascend to greater heights? We search for the right person to speak the right words, to grant us the courage to pursue our goals – that spark which allows us to live a little better, a little differently, finally offering us the chance to fight for our dreams with our full strength. No one understands this, and that comes as no surprise. I shall not beg; such is simply human nature. I shouldn’t have spoken so much about all of this. Now I must fight even harder, confronting, day after day, a cold that breaks my spirit – a cold both within and without; it tears at my insides; it weakens my veins. This is no joke, yet I must ignore it, for the sake of a greater good, I simply must endure. I listen to other, wonderful stories, wrapped in warmth. I asked for this myself, so I cannot complain. I longed for culture, for humanity, for style. There is no one by my side, and so my ruin is complete. Salvation arrives too late for those who wait – too late, by the measure of human time.

I Am Me, Sheeba the Corgi
I Am Me, Sheeba the Corgi 🐾 You think I am small, a lightweight, But you’ve got that judgement wrong. I have four short legs, but I move fast, A corgi at her best, running wild.
