The Fish That Came From a Doodle

This picture started as a doodle,
While I was eating my Pot Noodle.
And all at once, it grew and grew,
And a fish popped out and said, How do?

I looked in dismay,
Because I thought, Oh my God
Should I scream? Should I shout?
Should I get the hell out?

But the fish said with a smile,
Don’t be scared, I’m your creation,
And it’s true what you’ve heard.
I’ve come out to thank you
For what you have done,
Because this kind of drawing
Is certainly fun.

Just look at the picture,
Tell me what you see.
I know the first thing you saw
Was a fish — that was me!

So I’m just sitting here,
Standing tall and proud,
Being looked at and discussed
By a big vocal crowd.

They pass here and there,
And they pass me by.
Some stop and stare,
And they say, Oh my,

But the credit goes down
To the painter, that’s you.
And I’d like to thank you
For all that you do.

You’ve got me down to a fantastic tee,
And I am so grateful
You chose to paint me.
