To be Black, a Woman and Insecure
You’re not as pretty as you think.” “Your ass is way too small.” “You could never look like those other girls.” “I can’t believe you thought he’d actually like you” These are just some of the thoughts that go through my head on a daily basis, as I am constantly attacked by this bitch named insecurity. Have you ever stopped and asked yourself “why the hell am i so damn insecure?” Well, I ask myself that question a lot. However, I’ve learned insecurity, no matter how much money you have or how beautiful you are is someone that will always be on your shoulders and whispering in your ear.

Feeling overwhelmed? Maybe it's your organization.
Life and all of its tasks can get overwhelming. Every single detail and thought you have concerning the ever growing list of things you must do swims in your thoughts, separating from each other, and just making a mess within your head. You can't keep your thoughts straight. Suddenly you just don't know what you should do first and you have no idea what to do once you start, that is, if even can start. If you start on one of the ideas, maybe you will begin but you can't continue doing the work because of your thoughts and worries about the rest of your tasks. You can't concentrate. Sometimes it feels like there are just too many things to do and you just want to quit it all before you've even begun. But truly, this could be caused by a lack of organization of tasks. Your mind can tend to scatter all of your thoughts and with all of these duties, your thoughts have started to swarm around, making it hard to tell how much you really have to do. It makes your panic so easy. You can simply shut down when you think about the amount of work you need to do. Your mind can tend to overexaggerate the number of things you must do. In this kind of situation, your organization is key.

What Skill Would You Like to Master?
Well for me I would like to master many things and be good at everything. But I know that that is not possible. So, I will narrow it down to a few things. The first skill I would like to master is Gymnastics, but more specifically the balance beam. I have always grown up watching gymnastics and wanting to be an Olympic Gymnast and the balancing beam has always caught my eye. He balances beam is tough and challenging which I like but it is also elegant, plus I just love the strength and flexibility of gymnasts. Gymnasts work so hard and are probably one of the fittest athletes you can find, and what they can do with there bodies are incredible. It is so impressive. Gymnastics is definitely one of the hardest sports out there and it heavily relies on trusting yourself you land the tricks, and trusting your body do all of the ticks and flips correctly. I just love the challenge and hard work of gymnastics. I am always left amazed by the talent.

INSECURITIES
Don’t get me wrong, I am not an insecure person. However, sometimes I do have some normal level of insecurities that most people tend to have. A big nose, not tall or short enough, too skinny or fat. But then, I am never worried about these things. I do not stay up losing sleep over them or get anxious about it. I was and has always been happy with myself, I see myself in good light, I feel beautiful, pretty and sexy.

Patience = Growth
During these past 7 months I have suffered, cried and questioned myself more deeply than I ever thought was possible. I understand that challenging times of hardship are lessons and opportunities to evolve into our intended higher selves but holy shit has it been HARD.
