A 'bucket list' comes from the phrase 'to kick the bucket.' Kicking the bucket means to die. That phrase has a couple of possible origins, one of which could be that 'bucket,' in that context, referred to a beam from which a pig was hung before slaughter.

As a lover of many bands, singers, and music genres, I listen to a rather eclectic mix. My music collection contains everything from reggae, to rock 'n' roll, to metal, to easy listening.
Sometimes, it is necessary for us to put ourselves into categories. This may be frustrating, we may not know where to place ourselves. There is a good chance that, when given a 'tick-box' exercise, we fit in to multiple categories—or even that we do not feel we meet the criteria for any of the choices offered to us.
