The Myth of Success
Matt D'Avella, a film maker who produces the podcast "Ground Up," featured Amber Rae, an author, to discuss the myths centered around success. What motivates someone to create? What are the parameters that judge whether someone is successful or not? How do you personally gauge your level of success? As creatives, we sacrifice our souls for the approval of the masses. Society chooses whether to accept or reject your contribution.
How to Quickly Raise Your Credit Score
Near the beginning of my time in college, I was bored at work in the on-campus library and decided to pick out a book to read. I stumbled upon Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. Every successful person I know or have heard of cites this book as a significant turning point in their lives. For me, it ignited a passion for personal finance and real estate investing. Suddenly, I took my credit score and financial future more seriously. I started to question everything I have been told about money and started digging for the truth.
3 Rules to Accomplish Your New Years Resolutions
The human brain is excellent at formulating ideas, but not too great at following through with them. As creatures, we get so enthused with the possibility of success and fulfillment that we start out in a dead sprint and run out of steam quickly. I can hear all of you already, "this year I am going to quit smoking, start a diet, drink more water, start my dream business, save more money, etc., etc." We all have the best of intentions, but in reality, how many times have you followed through with these ideas you were so passionate about? This year will be different because you are dedicated to making a change, and together, we'll make it stick.
Flo Medical Marijuana Strain Review
Flo is the love child of Afghani and Purple Thai. It is a sixty percent stavia leaning hybrid said to help treat anxiety, stress, depression, and fatigue. Growing up Gay
I am currently planning my move across the country to a more progressive area, and I have reflected on my time in the south and the aspects of myself I hide for my own safety. Even in 2020 I still avoid holding my girlfriend's hand in some public places. I notice the looks of disapproval, and I feel obligated to chip away at my character to make others comfortable.
3 Money Myths You’ve Been Told Your Whole Life
Money is the Voldemort of the adult world. People do not want you to discuss it, it’s rude to ask questions about it, and it’s not taught well in school. By making money a taboo topic, misinformation is spread rapidly. I was told these three money myths growing up, and I’m sure others were too and genuinely believed them. Money is a tool and people shouldn’t be afraid to ask questions and take risks. However, understanding the fundamentals is a key part in the process of comprehending your finances.
I used to hate Sunday mornings. For no particular reason other than the next day was Monday. Not even the sun warming my skin and the cool blissful environment of my room could soothe me. I wanted so badly to have another night to stay up late. I wanted another morning to sleep in and another day to spend doing what I wanted. Even though I had a day in front of me to live, I was holding out for my next weekend. I would spend the entire day dreading Monday. Waiting for my next Friday to come around again.
3 Fake Cure All’s You Should Be Aware Of
As science and modern medicine continues to develop, some people create their own ideas on how it works. Social media gives everyone a platform, and some use it to prey on the sick and desperate. These fake cure alls are being promoted at this very moment, and can cause serious implications, and even death. Be very cautious about whose advice you take, and always consult your doctor before taking or using anything. I'll get off my soapbox now, let's dive in.
5 Helpful Brain Hacks to Become a Math Whiz
I grew up HATING math. I dreaded it every day and tried to avoid taking math courses wherever I could. Even during my first semester of college, I struggled through algebra. I just used the study guide the night before the test for last minute studying. I consistently procrastinated and caused myself unnecessary stress. I ended up switching my major to a math-centered subject and had to overcome my phobia. These five brain hacks I learned from reading the book A Mind for Numbers by Barbara Oakley, Ph.D., helped me conquer calculus and thoroughly enjoy the class. Amazingly, I’m excited about my future coursework and even favor math slightly over the arts and humanities classes.
The Ultimate 6 Step Guide to Early Retirement
Life is hard enough as it is. Wouldn’t it be nice not worry about money? To receive a check automatically every month? The term retire is used very loosely, you could continue to work if you wanted. The stress of coming up with ends meat every month just wouldn’t be a concern. All it takes is some dedication, and about seven to ten years of your life to build your real estate portfolio. Property is one of the best assets to invest in, because it usually appreciates in value. Real estate is also a great source of passive income.
