About this challenge
Although we missed out on a bunch of sweltering beach days, moonlit swims by the pool, and cookouts with friends, many of us are working towards strengthening our bodies and building our endurance for next summer's activities. As always, music is there to keep us motivated and focused!
We want to hear what your workout playlist sounds like—whether it's Hip-Hop, Heavy Metal, Afro-Beat, R&B, Country, or Electronic Music, there's always something you can play to get you through that intense hour. Enter the Workout Playlist Challenge by sharing your ideal exercise playlist. Embed it in a Vocal story and tell us more about your current soundtrack— why do these songs inspire you to keep moving? Or are there any new songs that help you push through that extra mile? Whatever it is, we want to hear it! You've got one week to enter... GO!
How to enter
For your story to be eligible, it must be between 600 and 5,000 words and adhere to our Community Guidelines. Stories published on Vocal and entered into the contest up until November 19, 2020, at 11:59 PM EST will be entered for consideration. Official Rules for the Challenge can be found here. You must embed the playlist you’re writing about, which you can learn how to do here.
The Workout Playlist Challenge is exclusive to Vocal+ members. To learn more and upgrade to Vocal+ visit https://vocal.media/vocal-plus.
To be eligible to win the grand prize, second place, or third place prizes, you must be over the age of 13 and residing in a country where Stripe is available at the time of entry. A complete list of countries where Stripe is available can be found here—winners will need to have a Stripe account created and connected in order to receive the prizes. For this reason, entrants located outside of any of these 39 countries will not be eligible to win.

If walls could talk, what would they say? Of course, there's so much more to walls, these ubiquitous, often overlooked necessities. Walls give us comfort but they also pen us in. They stave off the elements but also block us from the world. At once necessary and obtrusive, walls are often the only witnesses to our most intimate moments, and at the same time, the very things that allow us to be intimate.
