Feline Like A Song
Introduction I was not sure that I had already done and looking through my stories I don't think I have. I didn't think there were that many songs that related to cats apart from those from Disney films and "Love Cats" by The Cure, but then I started to remember that there was quite a lot in my collection. The beat generation referred to the cool ones as cats so there may be a few where the feline referral is more than a little ambiguous.

The Next Stop
This is for the Vocal "Sky's the Limit" Challenge that you can read about below. Original image By NASA The Apollo 11 mission emblem was designed by Collins, who wanted a symbol for "peaceful lunar landing by the United States". At Lovell's suggestion, he chose the bald eagle, the national bird of the United States, as the symbol. Tom Wilson, a simulator instructor, suggested an olive branch in its beak to represent their peaceful mission. Collins added a lunar background with the Earth in the distance. The sunlight in the image was coming from the wrong direction; the shadow should have been in the lower part of the Earth instead of the left. Aldrin, Armstrong and Collins decided the Eagle and the Moon would be in their natural colors, and decided on a blue and gold border. Armstrong was concerned that "eleven" would not be understood by non-English speakers, so they went with "Apollo 11",and they decided not to put their names on the patch, so it would "be representative of everyone who had worked toward a lunar landing".

Bloatware Is Back
Introduction Something happened this morning which really was a case of me not seeing the wood for the trees, but, shall we say after issues that have lasted for two weeks I finally saw what the issue was and dealt with it. You may have a clue from the title but first I am going to take to through my computer history which to most of you will be like wading through prehistory but may put a smile on your face.

To Eat Like A King
My friend Cherri shared the meme, I then remembered the "Fit For A King" cookbook by Elizabeth McKeon, Ralph Gevirtz and Julie Bandy and thought I could write a poem using the same lyric structure of the song "My Favourite Things" from the 1959 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical "The Sound of Music".

ART
Introduction My friend Mariann posted a meme and I thought that has inspired me to write a Vocal Story about what Art means to me. It is eleven o'clock at night when this hit me so I don't know if I will finish it, but I will give it a try. I didn't, so this was completed the following morning.

The Dark Car Park
Introduction On our recent trip to Whitby Fiona got lost descending from Whitby Abbey (a former haunt of Dracula), she was perturbed by the steps on the estate block which might have led to a dark car park. Matt and Craig, our hosts told us about wanderings in some Whitby estates where if you are "not one of them" you are subjected to baleful glares from the locals. To these scenarios, I have added some elements of a Cristopher Fowler short story about a driver in an underground car park.
