A Poem For Two Special Girls
Cherri sent me a video of her and Autumn in the snow by a river near them. I said that deserves a poem. This is it. The video also is full of snow too.

Today We Stand By Our River
Last Night The Snow Fell From The Sky
Breath Is Like Cloud Of Silver
As We Watch The Water Flow By

Autumn Saw Ice On The River
We Know That The Cold Snow Will Melt
But We Can Build A Snowman Here
I'll Hold You, Keep You Warm And Well

By The Snowy River, We Stand
Laughing, We're Having So Much Fun
Throwing Snowballs From Freezing Hands
Under Blue Skies And Winter Sun
βοΈ
Loving The Time We're Together
We Want This To Last Forever

"Ever want to just forget it all and just stand and gaze...gaze in wonder at the unbridled majesty on display for all of us to see for free?" she punctured the steady and easy silence with a wistful quality to her question. All that smoke and the heaven-piercing structures and environmental destruction cuts through the inspiration and overshadows the awe." I replied, reassuringly stroking her cheek and smiling warmly into her eyes.

The Business of Nature
Dew drops reflected the light of the sun. The inhabitants of Whispering Woods woke up to the golden droplets of water on the leaves of the flora. The oaks particularly enjoyed the light and the maples did, too. Happiness enveloped all who lived there, even the rocks that cried out in the night delighted in the morning.
