Roisin Dubh
A Free Form Poem on The Black Rose
I walked past a tattoo parlour near me called "Rosa Negra" and started thinking about all the translations of the phrase that all sound magical and beautiful.
This is also an excuse to share one of my favourite Thin Lizzy songs "Roisin Dubh (Black Rose) A Rock Legend". The guitar duelling between Scott Gorham and Gary Moore is incredible on the traditional Irish jigs and reels and Phil Lynott's list of Irish literary heroes over the code is just perfect. Seven minutes of musical bliss for me.
Maybe Roisin Dubh is my favourite. I obviously have to include a centralised image of my poem as well as the text in this poetry submission.
