Richer Than I Thought
In my very first article here, I mentioned how I low-key love anything to do with pirates ... like treasure hunts. GO ON A TREASURE HUNT! "Do you have more than one bank account with money sitting in it? You probably have a million unused gift vouchers (which are pretty much like cash). If you have accrued leave entitlements at work, calculate the dollar value of that. Maybe some of your assets have increased in value -- like your house, the value of your jewelry, or random collectibles. Go and collect all the money that is scattered through your car, clothes, home, and work desk. Trust me, you'll find a lot. You might find a whole bunch of expired gift vouchers and pamper certificates (boo!), but you'll learn for next time, gorgeous (and some places will let you redeem them anyway). Remember: this is all abundance that you let go to waste. Is it any wonder that the Universe feels slow to deliver?"

Designing My First-Class Life
A couple weeks ago, I believed I was going to win $2.2-million ... actually, I believed this for a couple months. (All part of my money mindset work, truly believing anything is possible in order to manifest more money into my life.) After the first couple of times, I'm sure my boyfriend (J) got tired of hearing me say "When we win $2.2-million, _____ will happen."

Dreams are Made of These
As a lifelong learner, I try my best to be open-minded and take in new information from all kinds of sources. With MasterClass, I've been thoroughly enjoying watching the writing classes (of course), but recently I tried out a more science-based class: "The Science of Better Sleep", taught by Matthew Walker.

'90s Child, '80s Lover
I was born in 1994. My boyfriend, 1989. I've loved the 1980s since well-before I met him though. (I really really appreciate that he was born the same year that the The Little Mermaid was released; it's my favourite, for nostalgia, Disney movie!)

Possessive: The Cousin of Controlling
As creative beings, we can get extremely invested in a project. If we're passionate enough, and there's a whole background behind the project -- i.e., if it has an extra special meaning -- then we essentially see it as our child. We want to love and protect this beautiful creative child of ours, with all the strength we have. And anyone who comes in to try to change our child is wrong.

The 3 People You Need in Your Creative Corner
I spent over a decade not sharing my work -- with anyone. I didn't trust anyone to speak a kind word about my work. Which is odd, considering when I was 13 I shared a few chapters of a novel draft with my mom and a writer friend ... both of whom LOVED the story thus far.
