The People vs. the Corporation
In today’s day and age, the corporation has become an entity in and of itself. It has grown from an idea of progress founded from the ashes of the industrial revolution to a foundation of society. Companies rise and fall based on the people and the society they're supposed to serve.

The Rise and Fall of Celebrity
Celebrity, it has become the modern-day royalty as we clamor over the glitz and glamor. In today’s society, we hold up those among us as idols, and we give them our minds, hearts, and wallets. We idolize and love what we see, when in reality we know nothing real about any of them.

Reach For the Stars and They Will Find Us
In our history, humanity has grown and evolved, we have won and we have lost. We have created beautiful wonders, and sadly oversaw atrocities. We have learned with each new generation seeking a better tomorrow. This drive has carried us from the dirt to civilization, and from civilization to society. Education
A society is built of many things grown over time from the ashes of the past. Built upon generations of humankind from where life began in Africa to the first cities of Mesopotamia. Society evolved through constant improvements of those who came before us. Some generations fixing the mistakes of the past while others repeating them. Some even, answering questions that hadn’t yet been asked.

It seems that each politician instead of building a better platform and a clearer vision for their country instead reverts to their basest of impulses and tries to tear down the others. They attack the other candidates to weaken their position or character instead of strengthening their own position.

Expectations
Tonight, it dawned on me that the problem with today’s society is that we seem to judge first and ask questions later; we form opinions based on superficial grounds, solely on our own experiences and perceptions. We have all been guilty of this at one time or another, and those same snap judgements can be found peppered throughout our history and culture.

Progress
Progress, a word many of us have come to learn from society, means to grow and expand. To grow, learn, and to evolve both individually and socially is the goal of progress. This drive to improve is built into the very fabric of who we are as a people. We are all dreamers, explorers, and poets; buried deep inside all of us is the drive to surpass who we were yesterday. To evolve not only our understanding of ourselves, but of the collective whole we call society. We have come to see the modern world as more progressive than what has come before, and we measure the quality of our society by how far our reach extends. Yet, by forgetting the mistakes of the past, we are doomed to repeat their failures.

The Universal Declaration of Living Rights
We as a people have come so far in our history, we have built monuments and great cities. We have taught one another and learned from one another, we have created masterpieces of pen and brush, and we have also fought to define who we are as a people.
