Humankind, we have come so far from where we began all those years ago. We have joined together to build with common purpose. Look around at what we have accomplished so far. Great monuments and testaments lay in our wake. We must always ensure that those monuments honor who we are and where we want to go.
What is the fundamental need behind expression? Is it identity, passion, being, knowing?
I realize that this is a heated topic, and I mean no disrespect to anyone, nor am I trying to minimize the senseless tragedies that occur each day across the globe, or dishonour their memories.
Expression takes on many forms, through colours and fabrics we choose our outward reflection based on inward introspection. We look within to our core, a kaleidoscope of feelings, thoughts, and dreams to see ourselves. From our hearts to our hands and down to our feet, we are born to move, to express who we are and claim that expression.
Hip hop, the musical heartbeat of a generation. Built from the work of trendsetters and visionaries. Over the years countless DJs, performers, and lyricists built a foundation of words. From those words a generation grew up listening to the rhythm and beats of the message.
