"Wine, Art, and Funky Basslines: A Harmonious Trio of Senses"
Day 3/366 days of publishing articles in 2024 There's something for everyone. There's someone for everyone also. This morning I was working on this vibrant background for a painting I'm hoping to include in a series for an upcoming show at this wine shop. It's still in the early stages, so I'm not sure if it'll make the cut, but we'll see. Anyway, the idea for this painting came to me while I was jamming to some funky music. You can listen the song that inspired it all here. I don’t even know how many times I played it on repeat. I love how music inspires the most random things when I’m painting. The bassline was extra groovy, and for some inexplicable reason, it made me think about how much I absolutely despise New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine. I mean, that stuff is funky, but not in a good way like the bassline. It's funky in a "hold your nose and run away" kind of way.

Unleashing Untapped Potential: The Power of Fun in Challenging Yourself
Day 2/366 days of publishing articles in 2024. I looked at the date as I was programming my client's workout and realized his birthday was the day before, a milestone - 60 years old. I thought to myself, "Let me make this epic." He’s always down for trying new things so I thought he’d appreciate the extra thought. He hadn't been in for over a week because of the Christmas holiday and travel. As I started mapping out his workout and sharing my plans with a colleague, I couldn't help but get excited. "He's going to do a total body workout, and I'm thinking 60 reps of every exercise, only doing one set and making them drop sets," I explained. "Sweet," my colleague replied, appreciating my creative approach.

I jumped on board: An Interview with Myself, by Myself
Day 1/366 days of publishing articles in 2024. I've never thought to interview myself. But then I read an article by L.C. Schäfer with the idea, and I thought it was interesting. When I read the article, it made me think of the song "Cream" by Prince. Prince wrote it while looking in the mirror at himself, and it's the ultimate self-empowerment song, which is something I do and teach daily to others. So, for me, the idea of interviewing myself felt like having a platform to shine and inspire others to take up space as well.

The Epic Chocolate Mousse Journey
Presentation is everything, right? Well, not in the story I'm about to tell. As you can see from my photo, this is leftover chocolate mousse I made from Christmas Day with my family. And let me tell you, it's epic. It's Julia Child's recipe, and we've been making it as a tradition in my family for Christmas since I was in elementary school.

Colors of Reflection
A project can take you back through memory lane, evoking feelings and stirring forgotten moments. The human psyche is truly fascinating. During my recent vacation, I experienced the stark contrast between busyness and relaxation. The first half of my trip was filled with the energetic buzz of art Basel, where I immersed myself in art exhibits, savored delicious food, and danced the nights away. But then, seeking solace and tranquility, I ventured to Fort Lauderdale.

Cafufflefrazzled Again
Maggie woke up with a smile on her face. She had a big day ahead of her and had planned to start it with her favorite cup of kona coffee. As she opened the fridge and reached for the half-n-half, she realized she had run out of it.

Lions-gate Portal . Top Story - January 2024. Content Warning.
Sacred Portal Initiation Fuck the fire out of me. Let me be primal. Let me be in sacred sexual rage. Hold me and be a safe protector to all that wants to be released from my body. Let me scream and explode and die and be reborn and hold space for that eruption within me.

Under The Purple Clouds
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. Under the purple clouds is where the rest of the world lived. But above us, he was giving the performance of a lifetime. And in certain moments the veil was so thin she could hear him. See him. Feel him there.
