A Letter From The Goddess of Love
Day 28/366 days of writing and publishing in 2024. One of the most played playlists I've ever created was inspired by the recurring themes that arise during my coaching sessions with clients. It revolves around the emotions of fear, the need for approval, feelings of inadequacy, and the presence of limiting beliefs. I designed this playlist as a tool for my clients to turn to whenever they encountered these challenges. You can listen to it here. Interestingly, I found myself reaching for this playlist as well, recognizing my own humanity in the process. However, as I reflect on it today while brainstorming for a new writing topic, I realize that I haven't needed this playlist in a very long time. While I acknowledge that I may require it again at some point in the future, I no longer experience those negative emotions about myself as frequently.

That Funk Music . Top Story - January 2024.
Day 27/366 days of writing and publishing pieces in 2024. I have a deep affinity for funk and disco music. Sometimes I wonder if I might have been in my 20s in 1974 and part of the scene. Perhaps I died and had a quick reincarnation, being born in 1975. Because the way I vibe with those genres doesn't really make sense.

Be Gone Punxsutawney Phil
Day 26/366 of writing and publishing pieces in 2024. It’s a beautiful 70° here where I live today. This is a rarity for January and a huge tease. With Groundhog Day coming, it inspired me to create this meme and then this idea for a poem followed.

Chasing Clarity
Her brother had urged her to order four pairs of us, and though she was hesitant, she eventually succumbed to his advice. I, one of those pairs, knew exactly how this would unfold. It was a familiar story, one that had played out countless times before. As we were pulled out of the box, I whispered to my sibling glasses, promising to reunite with them in the next lifetime.

The Triumph over Winter's Grasp
It was snowing heavily outside, and while most of her friends were reveling in wintery bliss, Samantha couldn't help but despise the cold. Everyone seemed so moved by the glistening powder, but she was not amused. She found herself longing for the warmth of spring and summer, but whenever she expressed this sentiment, she was met with reminders of the necessary cyclical nature of seasons.

2024 The Year of The Breakthrough
Day 21/366 days of writing and publishing in 2024. When I was a child, writing was my passion. I would spend hours crafting poems and pouring my thoughts into my journal. As I entered my twenties, I found inspiration in the stories I encountered while tending bar, and I began writing short stories. The 29 years I spent in the industry provided me with countless characters and memories that fueled my creativity. During my thirties, I delved into the world of dating and even toyed with the idea of turning my disastrous experiences into a book of short stories titled "Bad Dating."

52 Contests
Day 18/366 Days of writing and publishing pieces in 2024. Towards the end of 2023, I found myself reflecting on the fruitful year I had and contemplating what I aspire to achieve in the coming year. As I looked back on the past few years, I couldn't help but recall the words I had chosen to guide me through each year. In 2021, my chosen phrase was "creative expression," and as the year drew to a close, I made a promise to myself to reconnect with my art and resume painting. In 2022, I secured a part-time job at an art studio, which allowed me to fulfill that promise.

Financial Capability: Creating a Love Affair for True Liberation
Day 17/366 Days of writing and publishing pieces in 2024. As a personal trainer/life coach I’ve been on the personal development journey for twenty plus years. And one of the areas I’ve had to clean up in my own life and now helping others has been our relationship with money. I’ve learned a lot through the years studying, examining my belief system, and learning to budget. And I’m finally starting to really feel expansion and abundance in my life. One of my big goals has been to be debt free by age 50. That’s over a year away and it looks like it’s going to happen sooner than I anticipated. So what better time to share bits of my journey on this topic than now.
