A Chocolatey Surprise
I live a life of routine. It's what keeps me grounded in what are otherwise chatoic days. My routine is simple: wake up, go for a run, shower, fix my hair, get dressed, go to work, come home, eat dinner, some fun activities, and then bed. Except, on Tuesdays, I switch it up just a little bit. I get up just a bit early, so I can go to my favorite cafe to do my work.

After the End
Welcome to the apocalypse, well the post apocalypse to be specific. You know how the story goes, or at least you should. We had it all, the land, the knowledge, and the resources. Of course, what did we do? We screwed it up, that's what. It started with the "accidental" nuclear launches and just spiraled from there. Things aren't pretty, now, but I'm alive. I've got that going for me I guess. I'm alive and I'm not suffering the debilitating changes that other people are. So I really shouldn't complain.

Pride Anthems
Let's start this off with what must be said! Happy June and Happy Pride! Pride is a special month to me and to many other people in the world. It's also a month where we need to remember our roots and what has led us to this point in history. It's also a month of celebration, and celebration cannot be accomplished without music. At least not in my world.

The Things I'll Do for Money
I'm going to start this story off by making it clear that I am a college graduate. Now, anyone who has been a college student knows that there are plenty of times throughout college where money is tight. A job becomes a must, or some other way to make a buck here or there. Now, for someone who has reasonable anxiety when it comes to putting myself out there, there isn't much I wouldn't have done in college to make a quick dollar.

Ships on the Dead Sea
In a town by the sea, ships are a daily sight. They are our lifeblood, constantly coming and going with the riches far off lands offer. This was true once for our little village on the sea, before the world changed and left everything in pieces. Now, the sea is empty. Empty of life and empty of ships. At least that is what I tell the townsfolk.

Get Your Daily Dose
Here in my town of Kenosha, it can be said that there's plenty of small local restaurants to eat at. It's honestly one of my favorite things about living here. However, as is true in most things, there are always a few that shine above the rest. For me, it's a small cafe called Daily Dose. Now when I say small, I mean small. There are four booths, a small counter, and the cash register. It's tiny, but it has a big attitude.

Too Many First Dates
Dating is hard. This is always true, but it can be even harder when you're part of the LGBTQ+ community. Trust me. I know from first hand experience. So many things can go wrong, and let's be honest, a lot of guys are just out for one thing. You know what I'm talking about. This is my story of trying to find love, and bear with me, because it's a doozy.

A Story About Socks
This story is about my family's dog, Socks, and how he came to be such an important part of our family. The story does not begin with him, but many years before. It starts with a family and a flea market on a hot summer day. This flea market has indoor and outdoor portions, but it's blazing hot no matter whether your inside or out. Now at this flea market is a stall with a large tent and many dog carriers. They are all empty, with the dogs free roaming in a caged in area. Now what's a family to do with two small children who spot dogs to do but to fall in love with one?

To My Best Friend
To my Best Friend, You know who you are. You've been with me for so many of my ups and downs, and you've stuck through them with me for it all. We met in college, freshman year, and it was a fast friendship. We were on the same floor in the same dorm, that definitely helped. We had so many good times, but you already know that. I don’t know if you look back fondly at our drinking fountain conversations at ungodly hours of the night, but I do.

A Child at Heart
I’ll be the first to admit that when it comes to television and movies, I’m all about animation. I’m an adult who adores cartoons, and the image above shows one of my all time favorite characters. Meet Bill. Bill Cipher to be precise. He’s the primary antagonist in a sonderful show called Gravity Falls, a show about a pair of twins experiencing the strange little town of Gravity Falls, Oregon. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. It’s got a great storyline that arches over its two seasons. I promise you won’t guess where it is going.
