Summer is a time to be warm
To enjoy all the beauty that can be found outdoors
But summer is also a good time for a storm
That can wreak havoc on near or distant shores
The lightning and the thunder
Precursors to the might of the wind
Soon, it would be best to find something to hide under
Lest the roof cave in and you become pinned
Of course I speak of the mighty tornado
And the imposing hurricane
One which you cannot predict where it will go
The other that brings such sadness and pain
Respect the power of the summer
Or else this one could just be a bummer
