Soaps.com and Daily Soap dish are teasing that when The Young and the Restless returns with new episodes, Theo Vanderway may have a bright new future. Prior to the pandemic, there were rumors that Tyler Johnson and Sasha Calle were being written out of Y&R as both had removed the soap from their Instagram accounts. Shortly after this news broke, Johnson added the CBS daytime drama back to his social media resume but Calle did not. The storylines for both their characters seemed to confirm that they were on their way out as Lola was spending a lot of time in Miami and Theo was fired from Jabot.

'General Hospital' temporarily replaces Amanda Setton with Brianna Lane
On Thursday's episode of General Hospital, there were several changes for the cast as well as faithful viewers. This was the first episode since the coronavirus restrictions, and social distancing. Monday-Wednesday, fans saw their favorite characters interacting as they always had. On Thursday, however, the new normal was evident. The actors seemed larger on the television screen because of new camera angles that make them look closer than they really are. No one, however, was touching, hugging, or kissing, and there was not one love scene.

‘General Hospital’ fan’s distraught that Mike and Sonny’s time is almost up
Ever since Max Gail took over the role of Mike Corbin on General Hospital, the viewers have adored him. The evolution in his relationship with Sonny has truly touched the hearts of the fans. Michael Corinthos Jr. has been torn between remembering a father who was not there for him as a child, and the one he now has grown to care so much about. The Alzheimer’s storyline has been played out tactfully, and realistically and this is why it now must come to an end. In real-time, a cure for Alzheimer's disease has not yet been found and this is why Mike won't get the miracle that many viewers long for.

‘General Hospital” fans don’t want Max Gail to leave
Max Gail is back on the set of General Hospital but fans are having mixed emotions about it. The veteran actor will be filming or may have already taped his final scenes as Sonny’s dad who is dying from Alzheimer’s disease. The faithful viewers, however, do not desire to say goodbye. Gail, as Mike Corbin has grown on those who enjoy the ABC daytime drama they just do not want to see him or his character exit. Unfortunately for all concerned, the storyline calls for it. There is no cure at this time for Alzheimer’s disease so Mike cannot have the miracle that many of his followers desire.

Getting the spark back in your marriage during the season of COVID
Earlier this week, I watched an episode of “ For my man” on TVOne. A 68 year old woman had been cheating on her 74 year old husband with a 47 year old man. She convinced her liver to kill her spouse and now both are in jail. The couple in question had lived together for 20 years before getting married. They were husband and wife 30 years before the husband was murdered. That’s a total of 50 years. Couples I knew who were married that long seemed so endearing towards one another so I could not digest what this woman did. The narrator of the television show said the wife grew bored with her husband. The son said his dad worked hard and provided a good life but his mother wanted more.

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ spoilers August 3-7
Soaps She Knows is revealing that love will be in the air this week on The Bold and the Beautiful. Many of your favorite characters will be dealing with mixed emotions and here is what is supposed to take place. Steffy will be recuperating from her accident and her new doctor will surprise her with a house call. Earlier spoilers said this will be a new love interest for Ms. Forrester. Fans are not enthused because thus far, the writers continue to have Hope and Steffy in a triangle with Liam and any romance with other men has not lasted. Spoilers also say that Liam visits his baby mama and tells her he would not have wanted to lose her. It sounds like he has some unresolved feelings so the new man may be in for some competition.

The 70’s is the best decade ever
I am a child of the 70s. I turned 12 in 1970 and grew into an adult during this time frame. Most everyone enjoys the music of the particular era in which they came of age, but there is something unique about the 1970s that is not true for any other decade regarding music. During this dispensation in time, artists had their own unique sounds and the music was so great that much of it is sampled by today's singers. There was easy listening, slow dance music, rock, pop, R&B, soul, country, bubble gum, the beginning of rap, and disco. When you heard a few bars of a recording, you knew immediately who was singing. The 70s was also the decade of singers and their bands doing live shows with full bands. There was no lip-synching or entertainers on stage without a band and back up singers. The versatile recording styles of the 1970s are one of a kind and probably will not ever be repeated. The following are 12 songs that I chose which prove what I am saying about versatility.
