There is breaking news regarding three male actors associated with The Young and the Restless. According to Trend Street, Two are currently on the show and one has not been around in quite a while. Michael Damian who has portrayed Danny Romalotti off and on for decades is open to returning to his old stomping grounds. Meanwhile, Greg Rikaart, (Kevin) and Jordi Vilasusa,( Rey) might be leaving Genoa City.

There is nothing definite and at this point but there are reasons, however, that all of this could very well come to pass. Michael Damian has teased on social media that he would have no problem coming back to the CBS daytime drama if asked. In October the versatile entertainer shared with Soap Central that The Young and the Restless had reached out to him in the past but the timing was not right. This is great news for fans who have enjoyed Danny since the early 1980s.

During his tenure in Genoa City, the rock star had relationships with Laureen, Christine, and Phyllis. Perhaps if he shows up, he might begin romancing one of these three yet again. Chris and Lauren have not been given a lot of screen time during this past year and having their ex in town might liven things up. Phyllis has been front and center since Michelle Stafford returned to the role she created, but has not had a romantic interest. Perhaps she will reconnect with the man she named her son after, although he is not Daniel's biological father.

Paul and Christine as well as Michael and Laureen are all on the back burner on The Young and the Restless. Their fans have been complaining but so far nothing has changed. Both Traci Bregman and Doug Davidson have hosted episodes of flashbacks of their glory days. It is unfortunate that they seem to relegated to the past. Perhaps if Danny returns it could mean more airtime for them all.

Danny would stir things up with Paul and Christine.

Earlier spoilers suggested that when new episodes begin airing, that Adam will finally find out that Sharon has breast cancer and go to be by her side. This is supposed to cause fallout in several different ways. Chelsea will not like her man spending so much time with his former lover and begin to complain. Nick will hit the ceiling and become unhinged and not want Sharon anywhere near his brother. This is supposed to cause Nick and Chelsea to lean on each other and Adam and Sharon to hookup.

Spoilers tease that Rey will become so angry that he will leave Sharon and also Genoa City. For those who are unaware, Mark Grossman and Sharon Case are dating in real-time so it's only natural that the writers would put their characters back together on Y&R. It is unfortunate that it may come at the expense of Jordi Vilasusa.mmIt's understandable that Michael Damian may want another shot on The Young and the Restless and that the storyline may put Jordi Vilasua out of a job. What does not make sense, however, is why Greg Rikaart would be written out again.

Kevin Fisher is a beloved character and has only been back on the show since earlier this year. Fans protested when this character was written out some time back and elated when he and Chloe returned. For reasons unknown, Y&R has not utilized these talented actors. Chloe and Kevin are expecting a son at any time so it's possible they could leave town to raise their child elsewhere. Stay tuned for additional info as it becomes available. The Young and the Restless is supposed to begin new episodes on Monday, August 10.
