'The Young and the Restless' spoiler alerts for August 10-14

Soaps She Knows is now revealing information that fans of The Young and The Restless have been waiting for since March. After 5 months of reruns, of classic episodes, the spoiler has news on the first new programming that will air on August -10-14. General Hospital and the Bold and the Beautiful have already been showing new episodes, so those viewers are already accustomed to the new normal. Characters are now larger on the screen in order for them to look further apart during scenes. GH has not aired any romance yet but on B&B when Flo kissed Wyatt he was shown from behind. This is because Katrina Bowden's husband Ben Jorgensen, who happens to favor Darrin Brooks stepped in for the kiss.

According to Soaps.com, Monday's episode of The Young and the Restless was taped prior to the shutdown so it will be Tuesday before viewers observe the differences in the way the scenes are taped. On Monday, Billy and Lily will be interviewing residents of Genoa City. This will take place as they are celebrating the anniversary of the dedication for Katherine Chancellor at the Park, which bears her name. There will be guest speakers who will be sharing their past memories so this sounds like it will be pretty emotional.

On Tuesday, Lily and Billy will disagree regarding a possible new employee for Chancellor Communications, and Phyllis will resume bickering with Abby. Sharon is going to face a devastating setback and have trouble dealing with her new normal following surgery. I don't recall anyone saying if she is having a lumpectomy or a mastectomy, but if she will be struggling, it is probably the latter. Earlier spoilers implied that when new episodes resume, that Adam will find out Sharon has breast cancer. This is going to cause problems for a number of Genoa City residents.

On Wednesday, Victor and Chelsea call a truce. They will decide to put their differences aside and unite to help. This will more than likely be because he is having a hard time dealing with the fact that he murdered AJ Malvo. Amanda is going to put the brakes on her romance with Nate. It still has not been revealed why she is so hesitant but perhaps this will come now that new episodes are being aired. Summer is going to be truthful regarding how she really feels about her parents getting back together, but she probably does not have anything to worry about. Earlier spoilers have suggested that Adam and Sharon will grow closer and that Nick and Chelsea might reunite over their shared misery.

On Thursday, Esther will be helping Kevin to prepare for the birth of his son and Jack’s parenting advice will strike a nerve with Victor. This obviously has something to do with Kyle and Summer. Adam, who is still in denial, will be searching for clues to prove that did not commit a murder when he was 11 years old. On Friday, Devon will bond with Amanda but fans should not read too much into this. Bryton James is dating Britny Sarpy in realtime and since they are a couple, Y&R will probably keep them together for the sake of love scenes. They won't need stand-ins or blow-up dolls because they are each other's significant other.

In addition to these spoilers, Candace Young says that Y&R viewers should also be looking out for the following to take place.

Devon, Nate, Elena, and Amanda will find out some secrets that are going to affect them all. Viewers might recall that Amanda is adopted, so it could turn out she is Hillary's twin. This would explain why she is a dead ringer for Devon's late wife. Nikki will try to keep the peace in her family but her efforts will backfire. Eileen Davidson returns as Ashley and she and Jack will get a reminder of the Abbott family's colorful past. An upcoming storyline is going to cause Kyle's love for Summer to be put to the test. It will also lead Summer into former behavior patterns. A new side to Theo will emerge and Lola is going to find a new outlook on love and life.

Prior to the hiatus, some spoilers suggested that Lola might find out that she is pregnant with Kyle's child. This would be the one thing that would cause all the above to take place, but of course, it could be something quite different. Dina's children will work together to find a long lost memento related to her relationship with John Abbott. when they find it and give it to her it will give Madame Mergeron some peace.
