Theo May go to work for Chancellor

Soaps.com and Daily Soap dish are teasing that when The Young and the Restless returns with new episodes, Theo Vanderway may have a bright new future. Prior to the pandemic, there were rumors that Tyler Johnson and Sasha Calle were being written out of Y&R as both had removed the soap from their Instagram accounts. Shortly after this news broke, Johnson added the CBS daytime drama back to his social media resume but Calle did not. The storylines for both their characters seemed to confirm that they were on their way out as Lola was spending a lot of time in Miami and Theo was fired from Jabot.

The couple never seemed to click and their romance never got off the ground. The Young and the Restless kept things between Theo and Lola at a standstill. This left many viewers bored with the duo and some said they would be glad if the two of them did leave town. There is also the fact that Theo overheard Billy saying that he and Lily needed to hire someone at Chancellor who could reach the younger market. Theo would be a perfect fit for such a position. Now both spoilers say Lily and Billy will argue next week about a potential hire and suggest that it will be Mr. Vanderway.

Billy knows all the problems that Theo has caused for Kyle, Jack, and Jabot. He was actually the one who warned his nephew not to trust Dina's new grandson. It’s possible Billy may decide to give his step-nephew a job. Kyle would no doubt be angry but Theo would be just the man to bring into this new division of Chancellor. If he goes to work for Chancellor this would indicate that Tyler Johnson is sticking around Genoa City but until the episodes air, no one knows for sure.

New episodes of The Young and the Restless are scheduled to begin airing on Monday, August 10, but the first post-COVID show will be on Tuesday. The Bold and the Beautiful is already giving viewers new material and the changes are evident. The characters are larger and there is less of the background on the screen. There has been no touching, hugging, or hand holding except for Flo and Wyatt on B&B. This is because Katrina Bowden's spouse Ben Jorgenson stepped into the role for the kiss.

On The Young and the Restless the actors who portray Devon and Elena are really dating so they can go on as usual. Melody Thomas Scott's husband Ed is bald and much shorter than Eric Braeden so it will be interesting to see what happens when Victor and Nikki kiss. Hunter King who plays Summer is married but the romantic status of Theo, Kyle, and Lola is not known. There had been some talk of using dolls, but all of this will evolve over time. If Theo is offered and accepts the Chancellor job it will be evident that he is sticking around Genoa City. If he is not offered the job, there is the possibility that he may leave town.

Rumors have been flying that Theo and Lola will exit Genoa City together but nothing is known for certain. There were also projections during the hiatus that perhaps Lola is pregnant with Kyle's baby and cousin Theo will step up and claim the child as his own. This does not seem like the type of thing that Ms. Rosales-Abbott would do, but viewers don't know what the writers were thinking during the time away from the show. Will Lola move back to Miami and will Theo follow or will they remain in Genoa City and become a real couple? Will Mr. Vanderway be hired by Billy and cause problems for Kyle and Summer. Be sure to tune in next week to find out.
