Those who make #metoo claims years later or for attention, fame, money or to ruin someone's career
I wanted to talk about this topic for a while. As a me too survivor I have to deal with people not believing me because of people who make claims that come at times that make people question the authenticity of the story. People throw the word liar around a lot when maybe the people are telling the truth. I want to talk about the people who make others question the me too movement. Let's talk about these groups individually first.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion released a song almost a month ago called WAP; Wet Ass Pussy and the world of men went into chaos.
What Is Wrong With Us!
Soooo I saw that new video out. You know the one with Cardi B and Meg The Stallion (A hot mess in my opinion) and after sitting back and collecting my thoughts and letting my head stop spinning ( because I felt like I was being hypnotized) I have concluded that we all have officially lost our flipping minds! I am disgusted by what I heard and saw and I decided that I wanted to write about it to bring attention to the over-sexualization of our poor misguided youth and the distraction tactics they use on us in the mainstream media! After listening to and watching that hot ass mess of a video with my husband (who was also very troubled and turned off) it has weighed heavily on my heart. You see I find it very sad that our women of color today and just women all together feel like we should demean ourselves for a check and notoriety. I find it sad that even when our world is going through a global pandemic we have stupidity put out there in front of our faces, disgusting depictions of so-called women shaking and gyrating on tv in front of our children who are mostly at home right now during this time of crisis and they know this! I find it sad that instead of talking about what is going on in our world with the CV, the racial injustices, food shortages, and coin shortages, people unemployed not knowing where their next meal is coming from, we are sitting here entertaining this filth! The song just came out and I have already heard kids singing it, we have people praising it saying that its women empowerment and all that bull! You see music and videos like this only add to a very big problem that we have in our nation. We have young girls that feel like the only way they will get somewhere in life is with their “wet and gushy”, having all these self-esteem issues because they don’t look like their fake ass “idols” on tv so they put on all this makeup, wigs, long fingernails and provocative clothing thinking that it is going to get them somewhere in life! All these Instagram “models” out now who get all this plastic surgery thinking it’s gonna up their followers, wanting to be seen as beautiful when in all reality it just looks very unnatural and disturbing! We have young men taking advantage of these young ladies because we have these young rappers and singers talking about it in their songs pushing this agenda that they need all the hoes! But it’s not just the obvious that makes this so disturbing, it's the fact that they (whoever the higher-ups are) are trying to distract us and as a whole, we need to see exactly what they are trying to distract us from! Maybe it's from the news pushing out all these ridiculous ass stories concerning our world and all that's going on because I don’t know about you but I’m starting to see that a good chunk of the news sounds so very false and I feel like they are playing us all like fools, or maybe from the fact that human trafficking is a HUGE problem that needs all of our attention. I don’t know but what I do know is that that song and that video were uncalled for and it is not what we need right now. How about writing a song uplifting our youth telling them to go after their goals and dreams, telling them they are beautiful just the way they are, that they don’t need to lay on their back to get somewhere in life, that they don’t need to be in the streets they need to be in a book! But hey what do I know I’m just a mother of 3 who is just fed up with this disgusting ass world!

Throughout history, we have repeatedly seen individuals that seem to have the ability to inspire and the drive to implement great change. There are literally hundreds of figures over the years that would fit this description, but there are a handful of people who did more than anyone to make the world a better place - many of them are women that continue to inspire generation after generation!
Female Fan bases and the Media's Blatant Sexism
“Crazy”, “hormonal”, “dumb”…All words used to describe female fans. These are words used to belittle and bully any fan base that is predominantly made up of girls and/or women. These are descriptions that generations of women had to endure and grit their teeth at, just for being a fan of someone. And you want to know why? Our emotions have always made us easy targets.
FEMININITY
My favourite movie is memoirs of a geisha because my idea of transitioning into womanhood is being taught by older women about how to carry ourselves in different settings. From social settings, to intimate friendships, to romantic relationships, to career, marriage and into motherhood. There is a way that we can be taught how to activate our feminine sides as women to enable us to be effective and successful in the different areas of our lives. In this post I’ll first talk about the movie ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’ to illustrate the journey into womanhood.

It’s 2015 in Daytona Beach, a young girl from Florida looks at herself in the mirror not knowing how to accept herself, yet she is told she is beautiful, but she doesn’t feel beauty. Growing up in a small town she has gone through being called monkey, being told she is too black and not beautiful. People would pick on the way she spoke, “You think you’re better then everyone?” Something they would taunt her with since she was well spoken and in all honor courses. This young lady couldn’t find herself blinded by societies expectations, too good for black people and not black enough for the white people. She didn’t understand what society wanted of her, not realizing her black is beautiful and her knowledge could change the world. A lot of black women have lost themselves do to society and the expectations of a women, especially black women. There are black women who are afraid of childbirth or even going to the doctor to ask for birth control since many doctors do not believe a black women’s symptoms, their pain is hidden by their strength; not wanting to go to mental health doctors, doctors rather prescribe medicine before listening to them.

Fluo & PatternPublished 4 years ago in Viva10 Lessons I learned from Barbie
Barbie was a huge part of my childhood. I watched every movie, sang-along every song and played with my Barbie dolls in excitement. I used to wait in anticipation for the release of upcoming movies and would rush to buy CD's as soon as I got a chance to go to my local mall and requested Barbie dolls to pamper and play with for my birthdays and for Christmas. Looking back at my childhood and the list of movies that I have watched, I realized that there were a lot of life lessons instilled in those films and most of them were similar values across the movies. They are:
