My Life as a Mom
Life as a mom is very wonderful and hard at the same time. It's hard being a mom, because now you have to take care of yourself and the little ones. I never thought I would be a 24-year-old married mom of two little ones. I wasn't even supposed to have kids. My doctor told me that I couldn't have children. I was very upset and depressed. So I told my husband before we got married that I wasn't going to be able to give him children. Fast forward two weeks after our honeymoon, I was at work checking out a customer, and next thing I knew I blacked out. When I woke up, I was hooked up to an IV and my husband was sitting next to me.

How It Feels as a Daughter to Have a Toxic Mother
My mother has never ever physically harmed me in any way. But whenever I think of the treatment I've had from my mother, emotionally, the movie Mother Dearest pops into my head. Starting from when I was around 8 or 9 then gradually getting more horrible as time went by, my mother not only said things and did things that were inappropriate to me but also my 3 other sisters growing up. The most heartbreaking thing about it is, half the time there are genuine mother love moments I've received loving advice and concern; the other half has been nothing but damaging comments and selfish behavior.

Life as the Oldest Sibling
As I stated in “Lessons from my Internet Friend,” I am the oldest of two siblings. I have one sibling, a younger brother named Phillip. I would hope that my parents would’ve loved us equally throughout our lives, but as I have experienced, I really don’t think that this is the case.

Womanhood in This Society
I just want to start off by saying that I do not like to sugarcoat things or beat around the bush so if you are one of those people who might get easily offended (most Americans) than this post may not be for you. So with that said, if the above applies to you, then please avert your eyeballs. Thank you much!

Pets and Babies
Pets are strange sometimes. To many people, pets are their children. Some people dress them up. Some people carry them around with them wherever they go. Some people have endless photoshoots with their pets commemorating their lives. And some people go to extremes that I can't even bring to mind at the moment.

Natural Beats Fake
I would imagine that this piece will be quite unusual for this part of the site. I am male and what I intend to write about will probably be unusual. I have no idea if my personal views are rare among other men or among the female readers I might get. This piece has come about after discussions with my girlfriend, especially before a party at our house recently. I love her and the way she looks, but I don’t want her making loads of effort to look better, or at least better in her eyes. I don’t want her to do all the usual things you will see advertised to change how you look, the things that fill magazines and TV adverts.

Me Too
There’s nothing worse than your trust being betrayed by someone you thought would always hold it. Well, maybe there is. But that’s got to be the worst experiences of my life. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to let it go, but now’s as good as time as any to start. The first step in moving on has got to be sharing it, right?
