Career Path Plan for Greg

Greg is in the career of shipping and handling products with a big company. He is very handy and supportive of his coworkers and his family. He works for a big company and is a Sortation Center Warehouse Associate. He handles packages by sorting, scanning, and stacking them on pallets. He is very fit and muscular to handle the packages because they can get up to 49 pounds. He can keep the package up on the steel rail while they keep on and on and on.

Greg wants to support his family. He is a 32-year-old married man that wants to support his family. He has two children. He wants benefits that will support his family along with himself. Greg has had an injury in the past, so he wants to make sure he has medical insurance for his family and for himself. He wants to go into career counseling so with his company they have a counseling department. Also, he could go into Human Resources.

Greg will be part of a great competitive team that works together with a lot of people around the country. They are a dedicated team on a journey for their customers. Greg has a position as a Sortation Center Associate and he is very happy. I feel like he is very dedicated to his job and his coworkers. He has worked for this company for ten years and earned benefits for himself along with his family. He can control when he gets his schedule by choosing when a good shift is to work.

Greg has been a great person for people to depend on. Greg has always come through on matters of importance. People have said that Greg is a great person to get a package from. He is dependable, and they can count on him. People have given many compliments about him and his dependability. Greg has gotten many reviews on how he is easy to talk to.

Because of his dependence and the way people can talk to him, I recommend him to the counseling department or to HR. He is highly recommended because of the high-stress people are under at the company and because there is a high turnover.

I want all employees at the company to talk to a counselor at least once a month, paid for by the company. This is a high recommendation. I would recommend it because of the high stress and the high level of pressure on all employees. It pays for 1/4 of the tuition too. The company will pay for Greg’s tuition after Greg has completed 90 days of working with them which he has done. He has done such a good job and with great satisfaction.

A good career path for Greg with this company would be to go from Sortation Center Associate to the Counseling department. Under the right education, Greg would be a licensed counselor. Greg could go from Sortation Center Associate to Human Resources. This is after the proper counseling education that the company would pay for which is ¼ of his tuition. Greg decides to move forward with Counseling education because he wants to further his career with the Company.

Erik Erikson’s post-Freudian theory says that as we develop, we create and satisfy our identity later in life. As our ego, we create a positive force that has our center force of “I” personality ego that keeps us in society self-identify. Our ego adapts to conflicts and crises in life. Erik Erikson’s post-Freudian theory says that the ego uses a person’s experiences and actions to accommodate in life.

Greg is using Erik Erikson’s post-Freudian theory because he is using his own experiences to evolve into a more productive Counselor or HR worker. He is doing this through his own experience and education. Greg can get more education too through the company and increase his revenue. His goals and money will increase.
