This is a Book Review Haiku, instigated by a post that I saw on Threads (follow me there ) from Adventure Ink Comics:

Because official Vocal Challenges aren't overwhelming enough, I shared this on The Medium Writers and Vocal Creators Support Group (which I totally would have named a short and snappy name when I started it a few years ago, had I known how often i would type it, but well- there you go and here I am) as an unofficial Challenge.

Haikus can help distill multiple thoughts, and is not likely to give away a plot twist. (Not likely, but not always. Please see my haiku above for the exception. Sorry. But in my defense it IS in public domain now...)

So, are you up to join us on this crazy train-of-thought (Note: no royalties will be paid to Ozzie for that phrase.)? If so, use the #Bookreviewhaiku hashtag so it can be found. That will come in handy when we decide to create the #bookreviewhaiku t-shirts, mugs, stickers, and magnets. I know you'll want to be part of that, won't you? (Another note- kinda kidding about this, but also kinda not. I would buy one...)

~

Thank you to Misty Rae, who took me up on this unofficial Challenge:

While you’re here, please do one or all of the following!

2. Click on the little heart to let me know that this clicked with you.

3. Click on the subscribe button and get a FREE notification when my next post goes live.

I love Little Women! It was one of my favorite books as a kid. Honestly, it is still one of my favorite books that I never get tired of reading. Have you watched the 2019 Little Women movie? I am quite partial to what book-based movies I will watch, but I do not regret this one. In fact, I love it! And Judey, I think you might have created a haiku monster, lol!

That haiku was excellent and really captures the bond the sisters had. I wrote a couple here: https://vocal.media/poets/book-haikus I want to do some more. Thanks Judey.

  • The idea of this challenge is super fun. Now I'm getting more and more tempted to take a stab at it. I'm a little scared it might become addictive.
