10 Beloved Animals on the Brink of Extinction
As the planet spins around on its axis, species of all kinds are forced to find new ways to survive. While this is the natural way of things, it seems humans play a larger role in contributing to the future of what our world will eventually become. Whether it be on a political or personal level, our fellow earthlings are going through trying moments, living a life where their very existence has come into danger. While there are organizations dedicated to ensuring protection for some such species, climate change and criminals pose an immense threat to the future of their well-being. By raising awareness, we can come together and join in on the work these organizations are doing, reduce our use of wasteful materials, and approach the way we consume at a more conscious level in order to protect beloved animals on the brink of extinction.
Michelle EstevezPublished 5 years ago in PetlifePlay with Your Pet When You Aren't Home with Dogness Pet Camera & Treat Dispenser
I'm faced with the same old dilemma every time I go away; I'm eager to explore and check out new places, but I'm also a devout pet owner (or as some might say, a crazy cat lady). It's great to get away and leave the monotony of daily life behind for a little while, but when you've got pets, there are some responsibilities you can't forget as easily as a laundry basket of unwashed clothes. It's hard to be an explorer and also a good pet owner.

What I Wish I Knew Before Getting Our First Puppy!
Yes, Yes. Puppies sure do look cute, though getting a puppy is a big deal and require immense amounts of determination and patience. Let alone the hard-earned money that you'll have to pay for their deposit for the breeder, to pay him off, getting them spayed/neutered, getting his shots, and all the food, toys, treats, crates, and accessories you'll need to take care of him. But really, it's a fun learning experience to teach, train, and befriend a K-9!

Joseph D. N. KendrickPublished 5 years ago in PetlifeHow Utah’s Clever Fish Conservation Efforts Might Save Southern Resident Orcas in Washington State
Last Tuesday, Utah's Division of Wildlife Resources posted a short video on its Twitter page that depicts conservationists raining dozens of tiny fish from the underbelly of an aircraft into one of the state's high-mountain lakes. The conservationists say that the fish, which usually measure around one to three inches long, tend to survive the fall around 95 percent of the time. In fact, the fish are deliberately released around that small size to ensure that the animals would survive the fall, which to most people would prove to a deadly one.
Jenna DeedyPublished 5 years ago in Petlife10 Amazing Facts You Probably Didn't Know About Your Dog
1. Your dog is about as smart as a two year-old-toddler. The average dog can learn about 165 words and hand signals. Canine professor Stanley Coren says that the smartest dog breeds are the Border collies, Poodles, and German shepherds. Those breeds have an understanding of a two-and-a-half-year-old.
Autumn BrownPublished 5 years ago in PetlifeThylacine
Are Thylacine extinct or still alive? The Thylacine are also known as the Tasmanian Tiger. The Tasmanian wolf is a carnivorous marsupial that once lived in Australia and New Guinea. These animals were hunted to extinction by men because we thought of them as killers but there are no reports of a Thylacine attack on people. Also, these creatures are known to be very shy creatures. A marsupial is an animal that has a pouch that their joey stays in until they are a year old. The Tasmanian Tiger is a light brown dog looking creature that has black stripes on its back which is why the Thylacine is called the Tasmanian Tiger. Male Thylacines have a pouch that protects their testicles from harm during mating. The Thylacine has the widest yawn gap which enabled them to open their mouth wider than most animals.

Recently we've seen some viral videos where dogs had gotten into their owners' cannabis. Every owner probably thought to themselves that would never be them. You also have owners who decided that they would purposefully give their fur baby cannabis just so that they could go viral. Unfortunately, I became one of those owners who thought that they would be able to keep their animal away from their cannabis product.
Queen Pedii WritesPublished 5 years ago in PetlifeA Letter to My Dog
Dear Bruno, I will start with how lucky and blessed I feel to have had you in my life. You were my first dog, and because of that, you will not be my last. I will always have dogs in my life because of you. You have taught me more than I had ever expected to learn from a dog and given me more than I had ever expected to receive from an animal.
Samantha CastroPublished 5 years ago in PetlifeFamous Racehorses Throughout the Years!
Lets start at the beginning of racehorse history as it began to resemble our modern day racing. At the turn of the 18th century, horse racing didn't resemble modern horse racing at all, but it was closer to our modern racing. Horse racing traces back to 700-40 B.C.E. Back then it was mainly chariots and bareback racing. towards the mid 1700s it evolved closer to what we have today, but it was still very different than what we love to watch and bet on today. It was during the reign of Queen Anne (1702-1714) that thoroughbred horse racing started to take off and mold into what we have today. This leads me to the first horse I'm going to talk about.
Darby weatherlyPublished 5 years ago in PetlifeNew Kitten
If you had asked me six months ago if I would be getting another cat after my childhood cat had passed away, I would have told you that you were insane. I had Julien for more than half of my life. We grew up together, and as weird as it may sound, he was the closest thing to a "sibling" that I could have had. When he died back in March, I was sure that I would never get another cat. I didn't want to feel like I was replacing him. Then Binx was born.
