How to Puppy-Proof Your Home
Awww, so you're the proud first time owner of a new puppy! Congratulations on your fluffy bundle of joy! Puppies are so much like little children; they are curious as can be, have a love of running around and playing, and will more than likely try to chew on whatever they can find. That being said, it is worth it to puppy-proof your home so that you don't have to worry about your little fur baby or your things while you are off doing what you do every day.

Tips for Perfect Christmas Photos
Christmas is right around the corner and who doesn’t love taking photos of their dogs with lights around them or by the tree or just holiday themed photos?

For as long as I can remember, I've always asked my parents for a puppy. It didn’t matter what kind, as long as it had paws, a tail and it barked. I first remember asking for a dog after I got a puppy game for my "Nintendo DS." I know what you’re thinking, who wants a responsibility as big as a puppy based on a game? But hey, I was only six! The feeling of a virtual dog satisfied me for a little while, but it’s not the same as having the real thing. Anyway, my parents always told me that I would get one when I was older, but I knew that was just code for, "Stop asking and go do some homework."

To offer some background information on my dog, I did not raise him, and he was already five years old when we took him in. We received him from our vet family friends because they refused to put him down when his previous owner could not find a home for him. Nacho is my dog and he is a chihuahua, which means that he is not the best playmate for a toddler or a baby. Chihuahuas are usually patient, but not with toddlers unless slowly introduced. To chihuahuas, babies are aliens that they're brains cannot comprehend, therefore it is a danger.
Reasons Why Your Cat Won't Use the Litter Box
As any cat owner knows, there are few things more frustrating than finding a pile or puddle of cat waste on the floor. Not only is it messy, smelly, and potentially difficult to clean up, but it can also be concerning. Some of the reasons your cat might experience litter problems may be health related, so you should always keep an eye on any such changes and behaviors to make sure your little fur ball is doing alright.
Nicola P. YoungPublished 5 years ago in PetlifeMisconceptions About Chihuahuas
Stereotypes can be very false or sometimes very true. Sometimes, however, they can be both. So, I have complied a list of stereotypes for chihuahuas and I will tell you which ones to believe:
Adoption Number Three
Well, folks, we've expanded our family again. We have another boy in our midst. He came to us by way of a family whose cat had kittens and they couldn't keep the babies. It was a spur of the moment decision to bring him home, but once we made the decision and given him his name, it was all we could think about until the day we picked him up. In the true nature of our naming practices, my husband named the new baby. I wasn't quite sure about the name he chose at first, but once I met him, I knew it was perfect. My husband got the name from a radio host on a local station. Apparently, the man's last name is Brutus, and he got hooked on the name. Eventually, so did I.

Once upon a time, I slept in a cold cage surrounded by other cats. All of us were alike, guided by peers, wishing for the same thing; a place to call home. I meowed and meowed in hopes that someday, someone would come and rescue me. Then that day came.

In 2012, Merlin Entertainment, a company that specializes in family-oriented business venues like SeaLife Center, LEGOLAND, and Alton Towers, bought Changfeng Ocean World in Shanghai, China. Five years later, the company announces that it was going to team up with the anti-zoo group Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC), to transport Changfeng's two female belugas from China to Iceland, where they would live in a sea pen next year. The sea pen, which is being advertised by Merlin as "the world's first beluga sanctuary," has been raising a lot of eyebrows among the marine zoological community in regards to both the welfare of the animals in question, and the hypocrisy of animal rights extremists.
Jenna DeedyPublished 5 years ago in PetlifeMy Guinea Pigs Are My Therapists
It's well known that service animals are beneficial and therapeutic for people with disabilities, but they can also be extremely helpful for mental health. I'm the mom to four guinea pigs, and I also struggle with major depressive disorder. While most people probably wouldn't think of a guinea pig as a therapist, they've done a great deal for me in multiple ways.

Back in 2011, I came across an ad giving away puppies and it excited me because I had just gotten a place of my own and I was finally single again which I had not been in such a long time. I figured getting a puppy would give me someone to keep me company when I wasn’t working.

The death of a friend is never something that you think about. To watch your dog, cat, bird, etc...go through the grieving process after losing their best friend is even worse. You have no idea what is actually going through their head. All you can see is that he or she has not been acting the same and may even be shedding a few tears. Sometimes we can forget that they are well aware of the things that are happening around them.
