Telling Stories
“Storytelling has earned its place as the most important tradition humans possess. The most important reason for this being that every story contains a lesson to instruct the audience. Stories teach us to love, to forgive others, to be just and to strive for better than we have.” – Excerpt from, “The Importance of Story Telling”, by an essay contest winner from Home Schooling Advocates online contest

12 Months of Inner Work with Angela Hryniuk - My Spiritual Teacher
My childhood was traumatic, and I would not even wish this trauma on my own worst enemy (if I had one). Without going too deep into the specifics, my father left me the moment I was born (he was involved in an extra-marital affair. That's how I came into the world via a c-section), and my mother was diagnosed with virtually every illness imaginable. This is no exaggeration, where I had a foster family looking after me one weekend a month from age 9, in which they fostered me on a permanent basis when my mother passed away when I was only 13 years of age. In Angela Hryniuk's Ultimate Prosperity Intensive program; you learn about the six stages of childhood development as it relates to money and your life experiences to date. Due to my tough upbringing (with illnesses of my own, while growing up in a poor family in housing commission homes); I was wounded in all six stages of childhood development. School was torture as well - naturally. I was suicidal. After 12 months of deep inner work with my spiritual teacher, Angela Hryniuk - I have transformed, and have moved mountains in every area of my life; from my finances to my relationships. Angela knows how to serve, and to give immense value, care and love to her students/program participants.

Writers Block
I started this blog with intentions to write about hard issues, to attack the things that we ignore as a society and to spread truth through knowledge and love. However, I’ve been struggling with getting my thoughts together. It’s not because I don’t want to write or because I have nothing to say. I have so much to say, I really just need to stop overthinking shit. I’ll have one million ideas ready then I somehow overthink my way out of it. Maybe it’s fear of judgement, fear of self doubt or maybe I’m just being plain lazy. Either way none of those things will get me anywhere with this blog or anywhere else in life. And if you’re like me or if any of those things fit into your life in one way or another; STOP. Life is too short to worry about the what if’s or to not do what we love and I love writing. It’s therapy for me, I learn, I understand through writing. It’s a big part of me, always has been always will be. I just want to share it with the world in a way that causes people to think deeper, challenge themselves, learn themselves, love themselves and to just be. When I don’t allow myself to reach the creative heights that I know I am capable of; I am hindering my personal growth, confining my art and telling my gifts to lay beneath the surface. That is no way to be. This is a world wide issue. The worrying, the anxiety before even trying. The worse thing that could happen is it doesn’t work out the way you intended but the beauty in that is that it works out anyway. Maybe not that way but in some form.

Lake Walks: A Journey of Healing
Writing, kept me alive during high school. I lived through a traumatic and unconventional childhood and I was already fragile when these challenging years came to be. Penning poetry, and stories, provided me with a powerful outlet for expressing myself. Back then, I constantly said that I would write a book when I grew up.

Feeling all the Pressure
Where am I headed? An umcomfortable question that many of us have asked ourselves. Not knowing what is coming up down the road can really cause us to make certain decisions that can impact our lives. Making sure that you are safe from the unknown is a great way to stay updated on what you need, and what can be done to stay safely nesseled in your current situation. Although, what happens if your current sitution is hard work that requires many hours out of the day? What happens when other areas of your life seem to be losing that control?

You are not a runner!
No one ever tells that one day you will wake up and you suddenly become 'target practice'. Please know that this new person you have transformed into will be not be a foreigner to those around you. Your loved ones will automatically recognize this new person, friends will greet them with open arms, lovers will touch them with familiarity. The only person who will be hesitant to bring this person into the fold will be you. See what had happened was you got older. Now allow me to quickly inform you that is all you did, you got older; you are not 'target practice'.

How to follow your dreams
I believe we are all dreamers but only the brave, the curious, the risk takers, have opened themselves up to their dreams – everyone else is scared. Scared of what other people might think, scared of what it might change within them, scared that they won’t be happy when they acknowledge their dream and compare it to the life they have built, scared of trying, of failing, of letting themselves down. We have to stop allowing fear to control our lives. Fear doesn’t do anything except take away happiness, love and fulfilment.

A Kinkster's Introduction to Journaling
Journaling is a wonderful way to uncover our thoughts and feelings as we are experiencing situations and through reflecting on our life. The act of writing itself can help to discover and illuminate the hidden, murky, unsure emotions, concerns, worries and reflections from our bodies and our minds. Journaling is a great way to jot down half-formed, foggy ideas so we might shape, develop, and learn from them. Over the years I’ve used journaling to document my thoughts, what I learned, what I wanted to bring forward into my plans and to create connections between seemingly disparate subjects. Journaling is helpful for spotting patterns in our own lives and in the details, we utilize to take on. It’s helpful for exploring our wishes, dreams, hopes, intentions; and for catching and containing our observations and descriptions of the world. There are many different methods of journaling but before I get into that I’d like to talk about how we learn and journal.
