In LOVing Memory
For a long time I forgot about her. I forgot the lessons, the mistakes, the friendships and the heartbreaks we faced. I remember her now more than ever. Now, with all the isolation and extra time for thought, she comes knocking at my door asking to retake some conversations. Conversations we were supposed to have this whole time.

Is painting the forbidden soul
9/13/2020 Is painting the forbidden soul? Our lives from the outside Written by Kathy Reed One two three My life was of nothing that I thought was of any value. I thought about everything and everybody else but myself. I am still that way. I can recall to think that life was an image. I hated the fact of not feeling like I could always be myself. You have to know this is you. How people see you. So many men and women do it. So you can too. Of everything and the things that surround that. Now I have the option to do what I want. I am not trapped. I think that you cannot hear the right path. There is not an easy solution and the hard solution is impossible to solve. So in the matters of the soul, I think that you can to be there to get it.

Finding motivation in the current climate.
Like many others in the period of craziness that is our current world amidst Covid-19 I am unemployed. Unemployment can be great for some things, you might finally finish the blanket you've been crocheting for six months, catch up on entire seasons of shows, learn a new hobby or... improve your fitness. Fitness and I have a messy relationship, we get together and everything is all sunshine and roses, until it's not and we break up. Then do it all over again down the track. During the beginning of lock-downs we were off again and I was deeply involved with my kindle and Netflix. One of the contributors to our off-again status was my mental health. When I spend days on end in bed not showering or doing anything, finding the motivation to flirt with fitness isn't exactly easy.

Hiatus
It seems as though the words commit themselves to this page without my intention or effort. That is good, as it means that what I suspected is, indeed, true. Ever since the third grade, I have a had a gift, being endowed with the ability to shape my thoughts effortlessly, seemingly with subconcious effort. Forethought, critical examination... I didn't require any of it. I could seemlessly weave stories of great beauty, quality and elegance without making a second draft.

RECONNECT TO SELF
Many of us made New Years resolutions on December 31, 2019, no doubt. We rang in 2020, a new year and new decade, with excitement and promise. Little could any of us had predicted the turmoil and unrest that this year would bring. I offer to you the idea that 2020 is a year of clear vision, if you allow for it to be. The year for me has not been without its challenges, turmoil, heartbreak, and surprises. I like many was furloughed from my employment. My dear aunt, with whom I was extremely close, died suddenly. This year, I dare say, has been one I shall never forget. I knew that I had a choice in how I chose to experience my life, amid everything going on around me.

Complacency is Not Contentment
Are you truly content in your life? Or are you just complacent? Complacency is not contentment; though many of us fool ourselves into thinking that they are the same thing. Worse; we often convince ourselves that we are one when in fact we are stuck trapped in the other. I say “we” because I surely count myself among those who are in this state of mind. Do you count yourself among us? If so; you found the right article, because we are going to talk about it here.

You are the Author of Your Life Story
On January 18th, 2015, I did a thing. Something dangerous, panic inducing, and just plain crazy; I published a book. This wasn't just any book, oh no, this was a decade long labor of love. A secret love, known only to me and a few select others. Finally, revealed to the world in the most vulnerable and transparent of means; the internet!

Stop, Stopping Yourself & Putting The Horse Before The Cart
Never be so desperate that you put the cart before the horse. Take things in a direction of allowing it to happen … instead of wanting to make it happen soooo badly. When we are soooo desperate for things to happen we attract that unto others and it comes back a lot of times worse than what we expected.

SOUL-SEARCHING FOR THE MEANING OF LIFE
What Is Life? Life, what is it? Besides breathing and living, what is it? Why are we here? What are we here for? What is our mission in this world? How do I find out? Where do I begin? All these questions popped into my mind just a few years ago when life began to change for us.

When You are POWERFUL, there's nothing to PROVE
When you truly are powerful, there's nothing to prove. Such a simple statement yet the meaning behind it is somewhat complex. Have you ever heard someone exerting themselves by yelling their message, belittling others, reminding you of their title or demonstrating their importance by name dropping. These are all classic cases of someone who isn't!
