Good Hearts
You help too much: There is no such thing as too much help, but there is a limit to it. Most people tend to think that if they do something for you, then they expect something back in turn. My question is this, has anyone ever stopped to think what it takes to help someone else that you know for a fact can not ever pay you back? I use to be the person that would allow anyone even if it was at my expense when helping. I do not do this anymore because if I were to give all of my blessings away to others who are not even trying to better themselves, what exactly does that leave me to enjoy? You have to set boundaries for yourself when it comes to helping others because if you don't, you will find yourself in an unfair situation. I found myself in loads of situations, and trying your best to get out of those situations can be tricky if you are not mentally prepared for them. I came from a traumatic background, and it was not an easy thing to deal with. I had no idea that the abuser was the person that set the stage for my future relationships with others. I know better now and I am blessed that God has his hands on my life no matter what I face.

How can we create change?
Do you ever just sit back and look at the world around you? If so, you will notice different things, different types of races, genders, colors, cars, houses, political views, etc. I am writing this because change can be hard for some people. Change however is a necessary thing for this world to keep growing. What I love about change is as people we can be whatever or whoever we want to be, we can achieve whatever plans and goals we want, we can wear what we want, and most importantly we can love who we want. I myself am a transgender woman, and for so long people had a hard time adapting to the change they were seeing within me. My pronouns, my name, my appearance, my clothing style, my friends everything about me changed. However it was not a bad change but a change for the good. Sometimes change can be a good or bad thing. So here is how we can change the world that we live in and make change within ourselves!

Put Yourself Back Together
It’s currently 4am, and I’m just coming out of my nightly/early morning panic attack. I worry a lot, because I feel as though I’ve made a mess of things in my twenty-nine years. I find myself repeating the same thought process most nights, which usually includes over analyzing the mistakes as well as the progress I’ve made in life accompanied by my goals for the near future.

Life is a Highway
We only get one life. As people, we all have a different journey, with different experiences. No one goes down the same path, makes the same decisions, makes the same mistakes, or even plans out what their life will be like. Everyone has a past as well.

A Red Flag To A Raging Bull
Ever had a chance to catch a glimpse of a matador taunting a two ton killing machine with a piece of colorful fabric while the crowd goes wild with excitement as you say to yourself, “that bull really goes apeshit for discount linen.” I’m just assuming it’s discounted because...well..it’s being paraded in front of a very irritable, extremely powerful, horny animal. (I will have you know that I acknowledged this chance to make a joke about a celebrity figure, but I chose to be an adult. So; yea...growth)

The Hope Within Us
I remember my 18th birthday. It was a day most would be excited about, after all becoming a legal adult would open doors that were once closed to me as a child. However, for me this was a day that was anything but exciting. I was 18, depressed, been abused my entire life and always felt alone. So at a time when I should’ve been excited, I was scared and lost because I had been made to feel my entire life that I was nothing and I didn’t have a voice.

The power of influence and misuse of creative energy.
You know how some days you just don’t have the energy to get going? The day lags and everything around you is seemingly more unpleasant than the last? That’s called a rut, a mood, or just a bad day most people say. In reality is it just that you’ve lost some passion for your own reality? Is it the dimming light of how things are really setting in?

Where do we go from here?
Moving forward can be really challenging and heartbreaking but it can also be really liberating. If you are the girl who gave up all her friends to accomplish all your dreams I am with you. If you are the guy who left his girlfriend to put your career first I hear you. And if you are the girl who works her butt off day and night to make her dream come true I am most definitely with you. I know that you cry yourself to sleep when things are hard and nowhere feels safe, I know that your heart breaks when you see her picture on Instagram and she no longer talks to you. But can I say something? Everything and everyone you left behind you did it for you and that is not selfish. You said, "I choose me" and I am proud of you. It is a hard thing to do to choose yourself for the first time. Look at your doctor, lawyer, world traveler, journalist, the artist you did it. And it was all because of you because you ran wild you ran out of your comfort zone. And hear me out life gets really real and if you're the girl who wakes up excited over school registration right now I support you. In fact, I admire you. You know like they say, "do it big or not at all." And I don't want you to get the wrong impression here I want you to live up to these words fully and courageously like the butterfly.
