Life After Incarceration
The life you live today reflects on those around you. At the age of 48, I was arrested and sentenced to a year in lock-up. Charged with a crime, I had to make the most from the set down. You can not think of the thoughts of the poor pitiful me because, when you have children and grandchildren, you are not the only one experiencing the moment. For years, I dwelled on the events in my life that were mentally and financially affecting my kids too. I did not choose the right ways to cope with the tragedies that were in my life, and drugs and alcohol affected everyone around me. Too often, we become so self-absorbed that we can not see how our actions affect everyone around us.

Excerpt From An Upcoming Book By Kathy Williams
Froggie The Frog © May 30, 2020 by Kathy Williams Froggie The Frog You could call froggie high strung. He had a lot on his mind. His father was away a lot and kids generally wanted to tease him. You know how kids are. Some kids take their problems and frustrations out on other kids. The problem with froggie was he was hurting a lot. He was afraid a lot. And he was teased a lot. His usual reaction was venting. Venting his anger and frustration always made him feel better. He never aimed it at anyone in particular. Just getting it out of his system so to speak made him feel better. One day while he was tossing a coin a brilliant idea came to him. What if I make a mural and put it in my front yard and every time I get teased or feel anger I write the words ditoo on it. I bet I would feel better and wouldn't have to scream and yell. So froggie built the most beautiful mural anyone had ever seen in his father's front yard and every time he got teased or picked on he wrote the word ditoo on his mural and he always felt better.

VALUE
My time is valuable, and so am I. Most people do not realize how valuable they are, which means that they do not know their time is valuable. I was like this for years because I had low self-esteem issues as a child, so those issues were still with me when I became an adult. I did not know the value of who I was as a child because it was an adult who made sure that I was not valued at all. This individual made sure to it that I understood that I was nothing compared to them. In a nutshell, because they were the adult, what I said or felt was not important or believable because I was a child. It really sucks when an adult thinks that they can do and say anything that they feel. They never stop to think about their actions towards someone else. They meaning the abuser thinks that they will never get caught, and this sets the stage for all kinds of self-esteem issues, self-pity, lies, failure, and not being able to trust in yourself or anyone else.

5 Steps To Discovering Your Purpose
I recall being fortunate, or unfortunate, enough to attend my college reunion last Christmas. This occasion was a real eye opener to me. I was definitely out of my comfort zone. I got to meet people I hadn't even thought about for the last three decades.

Maybe, Instead
I want to travel with a stranger in strange lands, outside of my body and of what’s comfortable until I find something related to what’s known as wicked. I want to explore with bare feet and dry hands until soft—or on the other hand—until so hardened by experience and unwonted emotion that I welcome deterioration. I want to know what it means to journey without a map, without knowledge of place or understanding because being comfortable is becoming nauseating, and I need to grow.

And so it begins
In the deep crevice of my mind, there is this nagging feeling that there is something I should be doing. Instead of grasping the red thread and following it down whatever whimsical path it might lead me down, I decide that it’s better to distract myself from these ideas that wonder through my head, like a horse and rider through a dark valley in those western moves that would come on the television when we were younger.
