Flirty Thirty: a Bourgeois Experience
It all began with an idea. Since I'm not the type to celebrate my own birth in a major way, I wanted to do something memorable for my third decade of life. Despite going all out for my friends and family for their respective birthday plans, I only have a small brunch by myself at Cheesecake Factory every year and then buy my annual Godiva strawberries and truffles. That's it. I cannot tell you the exact reason why I treat others’ celebrations better than my own, because I'm not sure. My 2015 New Year's resolution was to treat myself better, so I decided to start with my birthday. I had recently watched the remake of The Great Gatsby and it inspired me to do something similar for my birthday. Of course, nothing on that level of partying is my style but I desired something formal that people can dress up to attend - you know, baby steps. Therefore, my theme was the "Bourgeois Experience - Michelle's Flirty 30". The plan was simplicity yet elegance. In typical Michelle-form, I began my research. I contacted eight restaurants with a set of questions and started my research there. Most of them shot out a price quote without even answering my questions. All of them had a general party template that was massive (like 200-1000 guest massive). That's way too much for me especially when I'm used to celebrating alone. So, I scraped all that research and started over from scratch with a better idea of what I wanted to do.

Painful Memories
Marie was at the top of the hill where she could see everything from the entire village to the mountains that surrounded what she called her haven. The view was incredible. After several days of avoiding the trail, Marie was happy she was still at her pace without too much strain.

6 Tips to Stay Sane when Working from Home
With a second wave of Covid Positive cases spiking all over the United Stated again (please wear your masks people), businesses are sending employees home for the second time this year. During the first big wave, I had an essential job where about 50% of my managing was done from home, but the other 50% had to be done in the field. I'm now in a new position that could be done at home in full. We have a meeting later to determine what positions will be going home so I am fully prepared to make the move back into a home office.

Viewpoint Of The Soul
I came across this amazing book, ***"the Seat of the Soul" by Gary Zukav and I was hooked and could not put it down. This book is amazing and contains so much valuable information that we can apply within our daily lives and awaken dormant energies within us. And it only make sense.

My Trees
I've lived at the same home for over 20 years. Being a young homeowner meant I had to learn to take care of things myself. A right of passage if you will. I have two trees in the front yard and in my first year of home-ownership, I realized these trees were going to need attention. Branches were hanging low. Some over the sidewalk and others a hindrance towards mowing the lawn.

The woman
So back to the original question, who is this woman really? I believe that many women myself included having some time in our lives, did not know who this woman was. I know I didn’t know who I was because it takes years to develop the real you as a person. As women, we have to endure so much of what daily life dishes out at us that we tend to overlook and not focus on who we are. As children, we are taught different things like how we are supposed to conduct ourselves to get a man. How we are supposed to dress, and please don’t let me get started on how we are supposed to communicate with one another. With all of these things going on around us daily, it is easy to fall into the box of just following the crowd. This is why the first part of this piece is important because the woman who follows the crowd usually goes no further than the crowd.
