Life in the pandemic times.
So I have to start out by saying I am fortunate to live where I do right now because our place is secluded and has remained safe from the pandemic for the most part. With that said, I am going to jump right in and state that this Covid-19 life has been very trying.

The Girl Gets To Choose
When I was a young girl, I fell in love with stories. Our family was made up of readers and our favorite weekly outing was to the library where we would spend hours, browsing the stacks. I remember the first time I discovered a series. The series was about a farmer’s field and a rabbit and then all of the other animals that lived in the surrounding meadow and waterways.

Body Movement
Just imagine sitting at a park, the day is like no other as the sun beams through the leaves on the highest tree at just the right angle to light up the space your sitting in. People walking around and sharing some of the most pleasant smiles and gestures to let each other know “oh your fine it’s okay” and “thank you” It’s super bright out, people are bright with bright colors on. Nothing can distract this perfect day. But wait, as you look along the path where people are moving you see someone walking at a slower speed. As they get closer you notice they have different colors on, darker skin, a beat in each step almost as if time is creating a space for them to enter your reality for that moment. Time stops and you realize the experience you are having in observing this individual is also like no other, just like your day. It’s different.

American Dream
She explored why she felt the way she did. Dismissed. Unrecognized. Disrespected. She had considered it was in the manner that she commanded attention. She became harsh. It was not her nature. It conflicted with her soul and her spirit. She was determined to find the happy ending in a fluid landscape of incidental interruptions. It finally occurred to her it was the weight that she decided to give the conflict that would build its power and strength. It was a new approach. She had left her baggage at the station. She was ready for a fresh new journey.

Your Life Is About to Have a Dramatic Change
When we think about radical changes in our lives, we always imagine something either very sad or overly positive. Like something broken in our body, losing someone we care about, or winning the lottery and going to live forever on a wonderful tropical beach.

How to Change a Habit
3 Steps and 4 Laws to make behaviour change easier. 30 years ago, I used to be a very heavy smoker, nearly two packs per day (I also had a huge amount of hair and a moustache back then). Soon after the birth of my daughter, we brought her home from the hospital following a very difficult birth. As I held her in my arms for the first time at home, I had just finished a cigarette. My daughter gave a little cough and I realised if there was ever a time to give up smoking this was it!
