Things I'm Passionate About Part 11
My passions Part 11, I’m trying to group these together more instead of making them so broad. Enjoy! 1. Metaphysics Metaphysics are the things that cannot be determined though objective measurements of the physical universe. In parapsychological circles, it’s the study of “science” or pseudo-science that encompasses supernatural phenomena, i.e. psychic powers, ghosts, mediumship, and the like. My interest in this spawned as a kid because what kid doesn’t love the idea of psychic powers or hearing ghost stories, especially ones that ACTUALLY HAPPENED!? My family and I used to experiment with Zener cards and telepathy games with some remarkably interesting results, though mom never let us play with Ouija boards because of an old family anecdote that scared the heck out of her. Once I got older and became a scientist, my interest didn’t wane at all, it got stronger. I found that I had become something of a debunker, but not in the sense that I was proving things to not be “real” or people to be charlatans, but more in the sense that the real magic, to me, was In explaining how these phenomenon could work, or be mistaken to work, based on the physical laws of the real-world and the exploits in human psychology. We’re amazing at fooling ourselves. For this topic, I’m going to be writing down my personal anecdotes and experiments, my suppositions for explaining how popular phenomena could work, and analyses of different cases amongst other things.

Life
Life. One four letter word that has so much value. We're always asked "What do you want to do with your life?" How do we even answer that question? It's loaded. We can have an elaborate plan for our so called life, but it'll never be perfect. Life is a winding path that has so many twists and turns it's almost sickening. We're told we need to figure out what we want todo with our life the moment we can comprehend how to form sentences. Why can't we live in the moment and actually enjoy our surroundings? Enjoy the moments we have on this Earth with the ones we love. Sure, we need to live and make money to do so, but we all work to live instead of living to do what we enjoy. How do we create this happiness for ourselves when we surround ourselves with hateful people. How do we change our ways of thinking to create eternal happiness? Life is often unfair. I that statement said because we haven't met our own expectations? Or because that's what we're told when we "fail?" Life can be beautiful, rewarding, ugly, the list is really infinite. So now I ask myslef "What do I want to do with my life?" I don't have an answer. All I can say is that I want to live and love with an open heart and soul. I want to love unconditionally. I want to have such a contagious spirit that people feel compelled to live the same way. I want my love to come from deep within that people ask themselves "how is she so loving and happy?" I want to share my soul with someone who won't drown it with their own unhappiness. I deserve to live and love with no fear or regrets. Why did I live so long in fear? Why did I let someone control how I should live and how I could react to my own emotioms? I'm done. I'm done letting my soul be treated like it doesn't matter. Like a bird in a cage knowing it'll never be free. I'm done saying sorry for how I feel or react to situations. I'm done crying myself to sleep because of someone who can't respect me. I would rather not be on this Earth than let another human being say my emotions are not valid. How did I lose myself? How did I let my confidence slip away because someone else needed that power over me? Why was I so kind? Why did I continue to give my all to someone who picked and chose when I could get love in return? Why? These words come with tears running down my face because I know I'm free. I'm free to be me. Free to live how I see fit. I'm done. I'm free.

Self-Care, Not Self-Sabotage What Is Self-Sabotage?
Here we are going to talk about the sworn enemy of self-care; self-sabotage. It isn’t that easy to see what is getting us down, preventing us from reaching goals, or even preventing the desire to achieve. We all have areas of our life that are 80% good most of the time. For instance, some of us are comfortable with our work and friendships but don’t really have a dating life. For others, we are really good with friendships and relationships but are afraid to make big moves to start our own business. Self-Sabotage is universal, because everyone has areas of their life they prevent themselves from improving.

5 Ways to Find the Silver Lining
2020, what a dumpster fire, right? Life always takes twists and turns but damn this year has us on a roller coaster of a mess. The pandemic has changed nearly every aspect of life as we know it and politics have pitted family members against family members while racism soared to the point of protests, riots and talks of defunding the police.

Why 2020 Was The Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me
As this year's Thanksgiving has ended, and we dive into the last month of the year, I've taken a look back at the year we've all had. Between a pandemic, an election, and a strong stance from movements that needed to be heard, we all know that a lot has happened. Yet we still have a little over a month left to endure.

The Root Of All Evil
Is it true that money really is the root of all evil? The answer to that question is "no", it certainly isn't the root of all evil, because money can actually provide the most wonderful of blessings, rewards, and help, to all of us, in life. It's interesting to hear that statement thrown around though, because funnily enough, it doesn't truly capture the complete message of what was written in the Bible, as people seem to believe, not entirely anyway. There's no denying these words are indeed written for everyone to see, however if we actually refer to 1 Timothy 6:10, in which we find this phrase, we will quickly see a whole different meaning to this message. The actual phrase reads "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." It completely changes the complexion about the phrase, just with those four words added to the beginning; "for the love of". You see, it's not money that is the root of all evil, it's humankind's love, desire, and desperation for it. As I mentioned, money can be used for a plethora of options to better our lives, and the lives of others, however the problem is that too many of us are possessed by it, and we fail to use it for the greater good, but instead to satisfy our own greed and selfishness. Whether physically possessing it, or just hungering for it, what a great majority of people would either do, or currently do, is either keep it entirely for themselves, spend it on luxury items, or spend it on material things. Meanwhile, across the globe, we continue seeing an ever increasing trend of poverty and homelessness.

How to Break Your Addiction to Failure
I’m going to go out on a limb here. I'm going to suggest that if you have found yourself repeating patterns that end in failure, then there is a reason for it. You may also have something in your past that is causing this pattern.

Small World
There was once a young kid, in a small world filled with poverty, a world where nobody could imagine living in, it's a world that shaped me to become the man I am today. The young had no idol and the mother was forced to handle both roles, for the father was blind to see what was going on. I remember times when my stomach itself will growl like the king of the jungle himself, who roared to send fear toward anyone who despised him. The mornings were cold but not the cold of winter but a cold that reminded us of survival. With my clothes filled with holes, I was always seen as poor child and that's because I was. Both of my parents never seeked any higher education and sometimes they've blamed me for their current situations, but as time went by I noticed sometimes they were just angry. My mom especially loved telling me what it meant to live a prospered life, a life that she desires for herself in the future. I would stare into her beautiful black skin that she always takes pride in, and realize the hardwork that she had underwent in order to make sure I survive. Even chores and errands that I had was nothing compared to hers. With my age being only 6, I was powerless and yet I would push myself. To make sure to become the son that'll be able to heal her rusty hands. Rusty hands that truly were hands of mother. This was a hardwork of a mother that cherished her child and to help me prosper because they couldn't. With the thought of that, it made me angry, frustrated, and powerless because my mother, who I dearly love, was in so much pain because of me. I wouldn't get past the reason behind that because my mind was clouded. This world is shaped different, depending on each individual. It can be seen in many different forms, living in a poor village, gave me a gift. Not just any gift, but a gift that we all have. It's a gift to grow and develop. I was never mature enough to understand my mothers hardwork back in Kenya, but without her handwork I wouldn't be sitting here alive writing this to be heard. My story hasn't been fully written, one thing is that all of our stories aren't complete, we're all in this story together and slowly paving a page after page for the life we sought. Before my story folds away, my mother herself will definitely be healed from the pain.

If You Don't Know What You Want, This Is For You
You’re in the middle of your journey. Whatever that may be, a career, school, parenthood, travel, business, a new goal, a new relationship. You’re amid dozens of journeys, it seems, yet you’re unsure about something. You’ve hit a dead-end; you’re in a pit of uncertainty, hell you don’t even think that this is the thing. The big thing. The thing you want.

Building the dream
11.29.2020 She found herself to be curious about the most obscure encounters. It is not as if she had been waiting and lurking. It was just another chance encounter which sparked the interest in the workings of the mind of another. On this occasion, she was on her daily journey to her garbage receptacle. It is a large container that is shared by the eight units of the rental building where she resides. It sits in the alley along side two more containers that are identical except for the address that brands the container to the building across the alley, another eight-unit building but here they employ two containers. They are not free. It is a paid vendor service that the residential rental building pays. On the other side of this same alley are two private residence containers that are allocated to the homeowner. One is used for waste and the other to recycle. Neither container is as large as the ones assigned to the residential buildings. The city provides the containers and the city removes the waste. The residential containers that are assigned to the apartment buildings employ a service to pick up the waste and pay a fee. This sets the scene.
