New Years Eve
It’s 7:15pm and I’m watching the same thing I’ve been watching for the past week, the only difference is today’s date. “I’ll see you next year!” My roommate gave me a hug and said he probably won’t see me until next year. Yup, you guessed it, today is December 31st 2020 the last day of the year. I feel a sadness because I’m afraid that 10 years from now, we’ll forget what happened this year and it will feel like a faded memory.

Informal letter to me
This is a writing experience I am doing for the very first time. It's a writing exercise from a writing suggestion I got from one of my favorite apps. I want to explore talking to myself as if I'm a friend or an advisor. It will feel strange and hilarious at times. Hear me out a bit. It's like an inside view inside my head. I promise to be honest and true.

What type of career you want?
We as people always ask ourselves who are we? Why aren’t we someone in life? Well, let me tell you something. We are someone in life. We are a sibling, a friend, a mother, a father, an aunt, an uncle, a cousin, and a worker. No matter what job you have you are something in life. See people have big dreams and I believe you can do anything you can put your mind to. But if you feel like a failure and ready to give up then you are not motivated yourself. You may think oh no I want to be a doctor that’s being someone. Okay, we'll get up and be one. But why do you want to be a doctor Or a teacher or a police officer? Is it because you want people to see you are someone important? Well hello, you are you just don’t see it or the family doesn’t see it. You are someone in life. Now if you want to become a police officer or anyone else in life make sure it’s something you would love doing please don’t just do it to do it because you want to become someone for your family. No that’s not right. You should make a career In what you are passionate about. What you love the most is what matters. There’s plenty of people out there that hate their jobs and I bet you wouldn’t want to be in the same situation. Because they get up every single day despising it and with full regret. But see you don’t have to give up what you want to become in your life with your career because you can keep pushing yourself. Be passionate and authentic to what you want in your life. What we humans don’t know is that we take life for granted. We don’t take advantage of the things we have because we don’t know how to. Yes, school is time and money but isn’t it worth what you are loving to become for your future? Most people now theses days don’t need school just to become a business owner. I have examples of people that own their own business and didn’t have to go to college to become a business owner and manager. I know you can do people. And as you read my story I want you to think of all the obstacles you have in your way that you can overcome and make it to the end. Think about it it’s you who holds yourself back not anyone else. You make mistakes but you learn from them and that’s how you get through life along the way.

4 Tips for kickass resolutions
Turning the calendar over is often used as an excuse to make resolutions for the year ahead. It is also a way to bring about next level frustration for yourself if the goals that you set for yourself are unreachable, unrealistic, or simply things you have no interest in doing. Making resolutions can be done at any time of the year, but as many think about new ones for the upcoming year, here are four tips to help you make resolutions, and keep them.

287 days, but whose counting at this point, right? Only X amount of days to go in quarantine but who doesn't love the cozy comfort of the same four walls they've been staring at for the past 6,888 hours? My bedroom is tired of looking at me too, you're not alone. 2020 has brought many obstacles far and wide, big and small, local and globally, leaving no stone unturned and no human unscathed. As quick as the new decade came, it was just as quick to relinquish our excitement to start a new chapter obviously having other plans, and for that I can honestly say 2020; you will not be missed.

As We Say Goodbye to 2020...
Many of us are more then ready to put 2020 behind us as we are hopeful a new year will bring better times ahead. Sure things are still rocky as there is much uncertainanty in the world right now. This is all the more reason to focus on the things we can change, starting with ourself. I can sit here and think of all the ways 2020 let me down, but I'm so done with feeling sorry for myself. So with that being said I am focusing on what 2020 taught me and how it changed me for the better.

Before You Say Goodbye
I'm tired of 2020. I'm tired of Covid, and social injustice, and severe political division, and I'm sure I'm not alone. We all know that 2020 brought on unimaginable circumstances that robbed us of an entire year of comfort and joy by stripping away what we considered to be a normal life. However, I fear the losses we suffered are even greater than we realize. I fear we lost a year of valuable moments in our lives because we were too focused on the chaos and suffering that surrounded us.

Morose, yet Hopeful
At times I feel so morose, stuck in my mind or stuck in an emotional place that is far from ideal. It feels like a cloud hanging over me, or rather that I myself am that dark cloud. I know this condition to be temporary because even the heaviest of clouds eventually evaporate, but still I feel weighed down. How does one become relieved of this condition?

Goodbye 2020, hello 2021
I am writing this post at the end of 2020, in the month of December, and wow what a year it has been! Truly, what a wild ride, and I know I am not the only one who feels this way, 2020 has brought tremendous changes to the world and it feels to me like this is only the beginning.
