A Plea For Peace
In a world that grew as dark as the crevices of hell last year it is time we make it possible to achieve immensely brighter things starting this one out. We have given in to the hate, the sadness, and the negativity that swept us off our aching feet. 2020 showered us with problems we only had nightmares we would face. Yet, a world divided is still a world not yet matured. A world not yet able to feel the compassion of strangers. I don’t know when it became wrong to lift ping the spirits of those around you. Yet, now we live in a world where kindness has been mocked and laughed at. Where patience has been impatiently challenged. Where love is rushed with lascivious intent. The world is burned by madness. Scorched ever so deeply into our everyday lives. A bid we have decided in routine to take on. Rest assured we never had to.

Subtle Approach To My New Years Resolution- 2021
Dear Teisha LeShea, I hope you are spending the third day of January, well. I won't waste your time reflecting on what 2020 brought. I want to use this blank white canvas to paint a picture of what's to come in 2021. Your vision isn't quite 2020; hence you wear glasses, but you've always dreamed about the possibilities. You've always been a maladaptive daydreamer allowing your gift of empathy to think, feel, taste, and hear the future. Many will call it psychotic I call it having a utopian experience that keeps you centered. This form of meditation has been crystal clear in your life that you could envision it without glasses. If I haven't told you, I wanted to reiterate that I'm so proud of your strength. I can see yourself blossoming into the rose I knew you would become. Reading about your life on paper, you are a representative of a rose that grew from concrete.

The Four Laws of Habit Change.
After James Clear - Atomic Habits. I ride a motorbike which I love. I love the closeness to the feeling of speed in control. I love the physicality of riding, of tilting my body to swerve and turn. There is no feeling like acceleration quite like an intentional, progressive twist of the throttle with the power pushing you whilst you balance on two wheels. But none of this pleasure would be possible if I hadn’t first made the commitment to learning and then to make it automatic. I don’t have to think about it. I can just do it. None of this would be possible if I didn’t form habits, assumptions and automatic thinking. We need habits. We need habits to survive and to thrive.

Dear 2021, Please Take Notes
Dear 2021, In my 22 years of life, I've experienced some really good years. 2020 was not one of them. On a global scale, the world was dealing with a pandemic, widespread police brutality, and political madness. But on a personal level, my mental health was suffering, I encountered some financial problems, and I even lost some friends. Honestly, it wouldn't take much for you to be a step up from 2020, but I don't just want this year to be better than last year, I want it to be the best year I've ever had. I'm not one to try to relive my glory days, but there are simple things that have made the best years of my life, the best. And for 2021, I just want those simple moments back. The simple moments that made four years of my life stand out for the very best reasons. If I were you, I would take some notes.

I got fired
“Please don’t take it personally, but your job is not sustainable anymore.” One sentence and I want to cry for joy. Many others would probably burst into tears. So why am I happy? Especially in these times, it’s better to have a job than not have one, isn’t it? Not for me.

What I'm planning to do for 2021
I've never been known to make New Years resolutions because they never really pan out. In addition, I don't like to put that much pressure on myself throughout the year. Why put this goal on yourself that you know you're supposed to do anyways? If something is important for you to become a better person you should be doing it no matter what. You shouldn't have to have a resolution to do something like that. If it's a resolution then you're just doing it for that year and then you won't be doing it anymore.

Worshiping Wrath
God, religion, faith, tradition, these are some things that everyone is brought up with. They are that aspect of a person’s heritage that defines their beliefs and actions. It is perfectly normal and unquestionable if one adheres to a God of peace and good instruction, however, what if the God one worships is that of something less spiritual? In, “A Father” by Bharati Mukherjee there are two such things that Mr. Bhowmick institutes in his life which also serve as major themes in the story. These themes are wrath and dissatisfaction.

Dear New Year.
Dear Naveena, I feel like we all use time as an excuse now. We wait for days, weeks, months, and even years to start that journey, project, idea we always wanted to do. Time has become an oppressive force for so many people that they start to see the world in numbers, and soon even you saw the world in numbers and it was suffocating.
