In this world, peace is the only thing that anyone could hope for. There are many troubles happening everywhere in this world.

However, don't lose hope, as peace can be achieved if one would calm his or her heart.

A heart only pounds harder when it is filled with worry, anxiety, or fear. Otherwise, a heart would usually pumps at a comfortable pace.

Anyway, whatever happens, one must always calm down his or her heart first, before acting on the stuffs that has happened.

Actually, in order to calm your heart down, you could relax yourself. A soothing relaxation such as letting go of all tensions, worries, and fears would work wonders in making your heart calm down.

As soon as you begin to let go, you would inhibit your heart from feeling all those negativities that are associated with anxiety. Instead, your heart will slow down and it will feel much better. Dale Carnegie once said :

Stop worrying and start living

By practicing the art of letting go, everything that has been disturbing you, harassing you, making you prance and so on will let go of you.

Then you will begin to feel real serenity. When all these sufferings are gone, then you will find peace, within yourself, and also external of you.

Besides that, you could practice controlling your mind. By controlling what your mind is constantly thinking about, you will be able to control your brain.

Your brain will then not go into an overdrive and tells your heart to work harder. Begin by taking a minute or two to observe your own thoughts.

What are the predominant thoughts that constantly linger in your head? Are they nasty? Or are they comforting? If they were nasty, take control.

Take control of your mind right away in the instance, to stop all these negative thoughts. Then only your heart will begin to calm down. When you finally have a calm heart, then you are one step closer to peace. Peace is yours to have!

There are a few things I always do to soothe myself down. One of the things I do is to take a nap in the afternoon. By taking a nap, I wake up refreshed and rejuvenated.

Sometimes, I blocked myself from looking at those work emails. All those work emails could have my attention later when I have calmed myself down. By doing this, it distanced me away from the stresses of life.

I also listened to relaxing music on Youtube. You can find these music by searching for keywords such as calming music or soothing music.

Sometimes you may search for deep sleep music to induce deep sleep while you are sleeping. Another type of music to search for is stress relief music. All these music serves to reconnect you to serenity, instead of being hold up on the stresses of living.

In addition to listening to these types of music, you may try meditation. You may try meditate while listening to these music that you find. Meditation is very effective to stop all the chatters that you brain might contain.

Begin meditation every day in the most suitable time of your day. Wear loose clothing, close your eyes, and take slow relieving deep breaths.

Observe the now, instead of thinking of either the past or future. Observe also of your breaths, it brings you into observing the present. By being in this state for a while, you will be reconnected to the utmost calm and peace.

You will begin appreciating how serenity, calm and peace actually feels like. Nobody really knows how they feel like, until they practice these meditations. Peace feels like simply, the greatest feelings one could enjoy.

In conclusion, one must calm down his or her heart first in order to feel peace in his or her life. You can practice the tips above to achieve calmness of your life.
