2. Become a Master at Chess

Have you ever felt like a novice just because you didn't know how to play chess? Not to worry, now is a good time to become a master at it. Chess is one game that helps boost your critical thinking.

3. Make Podcasts

Making podcasts can be a great and fun way to keep yourself occupied. To make podcasts, you don't need all the expensive gear. All you need is just your device or an audio recorder, and bingo! You're good to go.

You can either use a phone or laptop to record a clear sound. Simply connect to the device via earphones or lapel mics. If you can afford it, you can get a condenser microphone or a noise-cancellation microphone.

You might also want to record with friends. Anchor is one podcast-making app that is user-friendly and easy to use. You can record with friends from any part of the world at any time and any day.

4. Write Your Book

Maybe you're one of those who have read a lot of bestseller books, or you desire to write one yourself. Could be a novel, memoir, or any other genre. This might be the best time to start your manuscript.

Yeah, you should start writing that book. You can never tell how far you can go with just your pen and a notepad. You never can tell who has been waiting for your book so as to make the right decision in life.

5. Host a Movie Night with Friends

Sometimes, it might cost much to go see a movie at the cinema, especially when it's that new blockbuster movie. For some other people, watching movies alone can be boring, unlike when it's done with friends.

This creates an atmosphere where you all get to smile over the slightest scene and burst out in loud laughter when there's a humorous scene. If this is you, you can decide to Netflix and chill with a few friends. Almost everyone gets occupied lately and a movie hangout would relieve stress and create an opportunity for a reunion.

6. Write Letters

Remember the warm and sweet feeling you had back then in high school when you got a letter from your crush or when you wrote one? How about writing letters to someone you love or to someone who has been of great contribution to your life today?

Handwritten letters have a way of making people feel loved. Some people don't do so well with writing, especially for too long. But with letters, you never get tired of scribbling the pen. With just your pen, you can pour out so many emotions. It's a way of showing people how much you love them. By taking out time to write to them, you show that you have them at heart.

You can pick up this hobby and begin writing letters to your friends, lover, mom, dad, siblings, or someone you're so grateful to have in your life. Think about your life as a story to be written, and think about the people you would love to feature in that story and write them a letter.

7. Start a Book or Movie Review Blog/Vlog

If you always love telling your friends about the latest book or movie and how great the plot is, you might want to consider starting a blog or vlog to review them properly. All you need for a vlog is just a phone/camera, a tripod, a ring light, and maybe a mic -- or better still, use your earphones. You can start a blog with just a blog app on your phone and your thoughts from the books or movies.
