Have you ever started working on a dream or a project full of energy, only to drop or forget about it a few weeks later? I know I have.

You’ve worked hard your entire life. You’ve been the model employee, always putting in the extra effort to get ahead. But for some reason, you can’t seem to get ahead.

You can’t seem to break through to the next level, no matter how hard you try. You’re starting to feel like there’s something holding you back from success and wealth. But you can’t quite put your finger on it.

Is it your lack of education? Is it your work ethic? Is it something else entirely? It could be any number of things, but you’re determined to find out and then you’ll take action.

10 Things that are holding you back

  1. Alcohol
  2. Self-doubt / Fear
  3. No Schedule / Routine
  4. Social Media
  5. Video Games
  6. Not enough physical exercise
  7. Poor diet
  8. Toxic friends
  9. Procrastination
  10. No challenges

You already knew this

Did you have your “aha!” or “damn…” moment?

I bet you already knew all these things. Deep down you KNEW what you’re doing wrong, and now you’ve confirmed it for yourself.

  • Yes, I live too unhealthy
  • Yes, I have wrong habits and bad friends
  • Yes, I have no productive routine
  • Yes, I spend too much time pointlessly scrolling through Instagram
  • Yes, I get distracted too much by TV & video games

You KNOW this!

But now, your challenge is finding a way to overcome these things that are holding you back.

You've always been dreaming about success and wealth, but - like me - you constantly got distracted.

So the real question is: what are you going to do about it?

Your action plan

Here is an action plan with clear steps for each of the 10 things that may be holding you back from achieving success and wealth:

1. Alcohol:

  • Set a personal limit for alcohol consumption or consider quitting altogether.
  • Seek support from friends or a support group to help you stay accountable and motivated.

2. Self-doubt/Fear:

  • Identify the root cause of your self-doubt or fear.
  • Challenge negative thoughts and replace them with positive affirmations.
  • Take small, gradual steps to face your fears and build confidence.

3. No Schedule/Routine:

  • Create a daily or weekly schedule or routine and stick to it as much as possible.
  • Prioritize important tasks and set achievable goals each day.
  • Review your progress regularly and adjust your routine as needed.

4. Social Media:

  • Set limits on your social media use or consider taking a break from it altogether.
  • Use social media mindfully and avoid getting caught up in comparisons or negative self-talk.

5. Video Games:

  • Set limits on your video game use or consider taking a break from it altogether.
  • Find other hobbies or activities that interest you and can help you achieve your goals.

6. Not Enough Physical Exercise:

  • Set a goal for daily physical activity or exercise and track your progress.
  • Find an exercise routine or activity that you enjoy and can stick with.
  • Consider working with a personal trainer or joining a fitness group for accountability and support.

7. Poor Diet:

  • Make small, sustainable changes to your diet, such as incorporating more whole foods and reducing processed foods and sugar.
  • Meal prep or plan ahead to make healthier eating easier and more convenient.
  • Seek support from friends or a nutritionist to help you make healthy changes.

8. Toxic Friends:

  • Identify toxic relationships and set boundaries or consider ending them altogether.
  • Surround yourself with positive, supportive people who share your values and goals.

9. Procrastination:

  • Identify the reasons for your procrastination and address them.
  • Break tasks into smaller, manageable steps and tackle them one at a time.
  • Use time-management tools such as calendars, to-do lists, or apps to stay organized and motivated.

10. No Challenges:

  • Set new, challenging goals that are aligned with your values and interests.
  • Step outside of your comfort zone and try new things.
  • Seek out mentors or coaches who can help you set and achieve new goals.

By taking these steps, you can overcome the barriers that may be holding you back from achieving success and wealth, and create a more fulfilling and productive life.

More information

I have recently published another nice article about this. You can read it here:

Simply said, you need to invest in yourself and your knowledge, and improve every day. Your only challenge should be the beat the person you were yesterday.

Good luck on your journey!
