11 Wedding Planning Apps You Need to Try
Getting married is a chore. Sure, you get to spend the rest of your life with someone you love, but just imagine the headache that goes into planning the big day. So much can go wrong, from the minister being late, to the groom's pants not fitting, to a forest fire breaking out on a road leading to the venue.
What to Consider When Booking a Venue
Let’s be honest—the first thing on your mind, once you get past the shock and tears of your engagement and that gorgeous ring on your finger, is “Where are we going to do this thing?!” Venue selection is certainly an exciting adventure, but don’t be fooled—the task can get pretty stressful if you’re not prepared. Selecting a venue takes more than picking the one that’s seemingly cheaper or the one that looks the prettiest in pictures online. So, before you go and put that down payment on the first one you look at, make sure you keep these other small, but important factors in mind.
Basic Betch Tour of LA
Let me start off by saying that being engaged is so much fun! I loved (almost) every moment from the proposal to the wedding planning to the bachelorette party to finally making it down the aisle. The one part of the wedding planning process that proved to be a difficult, albeit silly decision, was the engagement photos. My now-husband and I got engaged the eve of New Years Eve, 2016. We were so excited and overwhelmed with the new chapter of our lives just beginning. With so much to do and so many plans to make from so far away, we initially decided we were not going to do engagement photos. We got a few phenomenal photos from the actual proposal which were so beautiful, we figured that would be enough. Plus, we live in Los Angeles and our wedding photographer was all the way in Canada (where our wedding would be) and we didn’t know the next time we would return to have the opportunity to shoot with him. On top of that, we are definitely not capable of looking lovey dovey in a field at sunset where it seems most engagement shoots take place.

The Essentials for a Wedding Emergency Kit
“Oh no…oh my gosh. MOM!!” Think of weddings like Murphy’s Law – if something can go wrong, it will. Dress buttons pop, hair falls, centerpieces break, bridal party members get lost, and occasionally, someone passes out. Terrifying to think of anything ruining your perfect day, isn’t it? Well worry not, my fair brides (and moms), I’ve got you covered.
How to Make Wedding Preparations Pleasant
Do not start preparing for the wedding too soon because you will only risk stretching out such a stressful period of your life. The optimal time to start preparing for is six months.
Things that Helped Me, as a Lazy Bride to Be
Like most little girls, I dreamed of my wedding day. I planned the little intricacies and pomp with flare while imagining I was a princess wearing white. I became more and more jaded by hate of dating, and my dreams of becoming a bride faded into a dream that I would have after eating a whole pizza while watching Game of Thrones. Yeah, I was that girl—the nerdy girl who ate whole pizzas on Sunday night. Fast forward to now, I have been with the love of my life, Matt, for 5 years this November, and even after losing my engagement ring in Italy (while I was on set working), the wedding is still on, and I have never been more overwhelmed. Not only do I suffer from bouts of depression, but I have really bad anxiety at times.
Seven Signs You May Be Getting Married for the Wrong Reasons
The ring has you the most excited. If you are showing off your ring to every person who will hear and halfway forget it's even an incredible symbol of marriage you might want to sit this whole marriage thing out. Rings are beautiful and all, but if you're truly in love a ring pop would be enough to bring you to your knees. If all you want to do is show off some big rock nine times out of ten you don't need to get married.

10 Wedding-Related Signs Your Marriage Will Not Last
I'm a true believer that a wedding can tell you volumes about a couple. It can tell you who their biggest friends are, what they value, the type of lifestyle they'll have together, and also their socioeconomic status. It also can be a great indicator of whether a marriage will last.

Skip the Wedding
Every time I sign into my social media accounts, it seems as though everyone I know is getting married. From friends to celebrities, it seems that in the last few years so many people have run to the altar. And people keep saying that millennials (people born between 1980 and 1999 just to clarify), don't believe in marriage anymore. I beg to differ.
